Thank you so much. This video helped so much. I'm pretty sure my 5 month old puppy pooped out a round worm. She's been checked at the vet but must have picked it up. We don’t walk her on the street & we have a huge yard so she gets long walks. I'm calling her vet as soon as they open.
I adopted a puppy, from a puppy mill in Texas, I live in NJ. Her paperwork shows she was treated 3x w/Strongid ONLY! I’ve had her for one week and I noticed worms on 3rd day. I checked because she was scooting. We go to the vet tomorrow. She has tapeworm for sure and I thought different other types of worm as well. I’m worried she might have serious health problems because of this she is three months old but a very active puppy who seems to always want to eat hence the tapeworm. The shelter had her in the cage all by herself which is why I chose her because she was sitting there not barking while all the other puppies played. She seems like a calm quiet dog for a puppy. Thank you for this information, by the time you read this and have a chance to comment I will already probably know since our vet check is tomorrow. My neighbor gave her a dewormer liquid. She works for a rescue. She also gave me a box of quad dewormer from the pet store however I chose not to give it to her since our vet was two days away at the time. I’m glad I did this and you confirmed it in this video. I’m not sure what the liquid is called that was given to her but she gave her a smaller dose than she normally would to be safe. I noticed a lot more worms in her poop the next day some alive. I’m trying to get the name of the liquid that was placed in between her gums in cheek using a syringe. She isn’t getting back to me and I’m worried that whatever treatment the vet gives her may cause a problem because of what we gave her but my dog seem to be really uncomfortable so I allowed it. Otherwise she’s a very happy healthy looking puppy. Again thank you for this information. I’m really nervous now but better to be informed than surprised. Wish us luck.

Should we give our dogs Praziquantel once every 3 months to prevent tapeworm? The Heartguard Plus that I give once a month prevents all the other worms but not tapeworms. Ty for advice.

I feed my puppy a raw diet, does that increase probability of worms? She’s almost 4 months old. She was dewormed yesterday, and she’s pooping out one visible worm, and that’s how I found your video. I subscribed for future education and tips.
To be safe I would freeze meats, poultry, and fish before hand. I don’t remember for how long though, in order for it to be effective, but I’m assuming however long it would take to kill off parasites in them. You could probably find out that information on UA-cam or Google. I saw a video about this years ago but I don’t remember what it is now.
I’m here cuz my 5m old puppy just threw up a roundworm. And it was gross. She threw up twice today once in the morning and I thought it was cuz I gave her some of my eggs and they were hot. The second time was just now. And I saw the worm. I thought to look at the vomit because I didn’t give her any food and she threw up. I’m bummed out because tomorrow is a holiday and her appointment is going to be Thursday at 415. I hope she doesn’t have hook worms. The worm was white just like the round worms. I’m also upset because I live in the Bronx and people don’t clean up after their dogs here. Her stool is normal. Her vomit is white. And her teeth look okay but I feel bad for her. I wish she got relief right away and I could take her to the vet tomorrow. She seems fine. Still hyper and running around but it’s scary. And I also have the hibee jibes cuz I think I have the worms too but chances are I don’t cuz I don’t let her lick me
can anyone tell me if Fruit worms can be caused from animal waste?
Don’t panick for goodness sake sake this video is scare mongering of course you need to take action but you can use natural dewormers. Diatomatios earth for instance Dogs Cats People and other animals have lived with worms for millions of years it’s no big deal you just have to deal with it
My.dog just got diagnosed with tape worms..luckily humans can not catch this kind.

This is crazy, my dog puked and it had a roundworm in the puke. Took him to the vet and he gave me a dewormer and when I asked about my other dog he said it wasn’t needed?? Listening to this video he should have got the same treatment.
Your Vet lied to you. I'm 52yrs old & it my Vet treat 1 of my dogs for worms. They always treated the ones at home too
@@rellmonger7935 I figured it out it’s because my other dog is on a monthly flea, tic, and wormer plus heartworm as well.
Once one dog has it and they’re in close contact like shaking water bowls sleeping area etc you should assume the other is infected

Did you find out what it was? I just found some too but I think they were maggots from flies because I didnt pick it up for 3 days. Also they really didnt look like any of these worms. Im HOPING they were maggots ugh!! Good thing I love my dogs so much lol
