@@extremkaijuu9314 haha no malenia is a flawed boss with literal fucking sekiro mechanics and bloodborne healing inside of a dark souls game she goes against how dark souls bosses are supposed to work
Man this theme hits so hard, but it ain’t the same without the metal clanking of his sword connecting to your chest, the fiery souls exploding from his chest followed by insanely sporadic lightning going all over the place, bolts being fired from the air, and the wind howling as he flies through the air doing all the above!
Now i realize, there are a lot of bosses in this franchise are in their weakened state when you fight them.. -Artorias was gone insane, broke his left arm (which is his stronger arm), and even fighting us without his shield. -Gwyn was already going hollow. -Kalameet was injured after getting shot by Gough. -Burnt Ivory King was already being consumed by the chaos, you are there just to end his suffering for the brave things he did. -Old Iron King was also in same case. -Sinh was being weakened by the poison. -Abyss Watchers also having the same fate as Artorias, and have to deal with their own member while fighting you and also getting weakened because of the abyss, imagine if you are fighting "the legion" instead of 3 abyss watchers in same time. -Yhorm was too tired to even fight because after all the bad things happened to him and just want us to end him quickly, he even left the storm ruler near his side from the previous owner who failed to kill him for us to use. -Dragonslayer Armour is just an armour, imagine if the wearer still alive and fight you. -Old Demon King is just like the name, is a very old king that already lost his prime long ago. -Demon princes had been weakened because of Lorian. -Dancer were gone mad after what Pontiff did to her. -Lothric prince are literally two cripples who bearing a curse that limiting them to even wanting to try link the fire. -Midir was in his pathetic state, being corrupted by the thing he supposed to destroy and he was in his weakened state as well after falling from the bridge. -Friede just desperately wanted you to leave them alone, even Father Ariandel sacrificed their small amount of fire just to fight you. -Then we got Gael as well. And many more that i probably forgot to include.. The only great bosses you fought when they are in prime as far i remember are Sir Alonne, Champion Gundyr, Soul Of Cinder, Pontiff Sulyvahn, and Darklurker, again might forgot some as well..
Gael was leagues above his prime in this. He had an almost complete Dark Soul in his body, which made him possibly the deadliest killing machine of the whole Souls universe in that moment. Plus, Sulyvahn was severely weakened because when you fight him he has just finished fighting Aldrich and got his ass owned by him, so he's a lot weaker.
@@Fro_ozo is the elden ring soundtrack generally considered bad? I don't think it comes close to ds3 but it was still fairly good in my opinion. It would come as a surprise to me if people didn't enjoy it.
By far the best Bossfight I’ve ever fought in the first phase is quite mellow and easy to predict at some point the second phase becomes a little tougher when he uses the repeating crossbow and then the third phase is the most epic part of the whole fight where he flips around does multi attack move sets introduces lightning and one of his best attacks when he jumps up into the air and mid air uses his crossbow and then continues to attack with his sword while also using way of white corona
The music is this phase the hardest. It a indicator that you are so close to finishing, but so very close to dying fast. Like in school your taking your English final exam. There's only 5 minutes remaining and the last question needs you to write a 500 word essay.
My favorite theme. Outplayed Ludwig Holy Blade, AND Lord of Cinder. I said it. This theme is the epitome Dark Souls. Epicness with a douse of melancholy, and reverence to overall theme of the lore. That is whatever once was will never be the same again. No matter how hard you try to resist it’ll only make things worse for yourself and everyone around you. Which in case for this theme it also represents the end of Dark Souls series itself. There’ll never be another Dark Souls. 🥲
@@Guyy_1 He's either talking about Soul of Cinder or Gwyn, Lord of Cinder- "Lord of Cinder" isn't actually a theme, as far as I'm aware, but he might have mistyped "Soul" or just neglected to put the "Gwyn".
Elden Ring won’t top Gael’s theme. People who never played souls heard me playing this and were like “That’s in a video game?!” It’s a literal masterpiece. I’d pay to see a live orchestrated version of this somewhere.
It’s poetic how the final boss of the Dark Souls franchise is an Unkindled like yourself, as you fight in the ruined future for the other warrior’s darkened soul. No one else will see the war between you and Gael besides you and him. It’s a personal and intimate fight between two nobodies for the other’s soul. Only you and Gael care about who dies. The rest of the world is gone but the fight rages on. Both the player and Gael have been consumed by the same madness: the dark soul. One of you has to give it up. It’s beautiful madness in the end.
Having finally finished the Ringed City and having beaten every boss in Dark Souls 3, I'm gonna drop a take that might be hot to some: Midir was harder than Gael. Midir had some questionable hitboxes and more area-of-effect attacks that made certain parts of the fight just unpleasant. That being said, Gael was a better boss in every way. Midir felt like, to me, a cool looking dragon that you had to kill. Gael carried more weight, because he was responsible for the chain of events that occurred during Ashes of Ariandel where he fought Sister Friede with you as a summon. Even in the Ringed City he helped you fight the Demon Prince and guided you through the Dreg Heap. In a way that felt kinda distant, he was one of our only "friends" in DS3's world, which made the fight against him feel so much more intense.
Oh, Midir IS harder than Gael. In fact is bs hard. Reminds me of the ancient dragon from ds2. However the Ancient Dragon is the hardest boss in all souls games just for how unwinnable it is. It's completely against you in every way.
@@Veembly really? i find gael harder especially on ng+ cause of how much health he has its basically an endurance run while midir iirc does have more health than gael, midir takes double damage on his head making the fight alot quicker
