16:12>>>Daniel made the combination as intended, but the shot was called fail because it was a double hit. Not as the commentator said Daniel called a safe. Where did they get the commentator?
Help me understand why the 1, 2, 3, 13, 14, and 15 are specifically positioned where they are on the rack? What difference would it make if there were any other balls with the same point values in those spots? Is this just to get a better spread of those specific balls on the break? Even that doesn't seem all that important if the breaking player gets ball in hand after the break.
Guaranteed Efren has not played American Rotation since July 16, 2014, or thereabouts. I have a feeling American Rotation is not a favorite and is long forgotten. The only reason I watched this video till the end is because Efren was playing.
The BCA book shows a different way to rack than that. There is no standard in pool. Whatever you decide for the tournament you are putting on is ok and everyone agrees to it by paying to enter.
"...and Daniel beat Efren: 100 to 28." Ha, very nice. Also, Efren Reyes reminds me so much of Master Splinter. I can't put my finger on all of the ways. POVPOOL , thanks for every single one of the uploads. Cheers.
In American rotation you get ball in hand after the break regardless of the outcome. The opponent gets the point(s) for any ball you sink on a scratch but the breaking player still gets ball in hand afterward.
My true feelings on this American Rotation game are this game is quite boring and ultimately a stupid game. One can have way more fun playing 8, 9, or 10 ball which are way more exciting. In addition to that, the commentators in this video put up the American Rotation scorecard while pool is being played!! I can't see Efren make shots because of that repetitive, stupid scorecard.
Looks like an interesting game - it's just that guy did a lousy job explaining the rules. When he was talking about the 3-foul rule, I couldn't even understand what the hell he was saying.
Three-foul rule: after your third and subsequent fouls, your opponent gets two consecutive ball-in-hand shots. The first is a free shot -- he doesn't need to hit the low ball on the table first and doesn't need to sink anything to continue shooting. The second is conventional ball-in-hand where he must hit the low ball on the table first and sink the called shot to resume shooting.
Yo - I asked him, last minute to do this match. He is an amateur player and was one of the only guys in the room that knows the game of AMRO. Cut him some slack, bro. The pool world isn't the endless fountain of resources that you think it is. If you can do better, we invite you to help out.
POVPOOL Settle down, my man. I like what POVPOOL is doing, and have watched maybe 24 hours worth of POVPOOL videos the past three days (including the entirety of this video). Just because I was being a bit critical of his use of filler words/phrases in the video doesn't mean I have anything personal against the announcer. Absolutely I respect his knowledge of the game and I think he did an okay job. That doesn't change the fact however, that his inexperience with announcing on the set took a bit away from the video. Also, you're jumping to conclusions when you accuse me of thinking that pool is is an endless fountain of resources. That comes across as a bit arrogant. (P.S. I'll let you know when I'm free. I'd be happy to help out.)
Napoleon Vang Word! No worries bro. I get a bit testy sometimes with the comments on UA-cam. Guess I'm just looking out for Vishal, who helped out here.
Cool game

I like efrens shirt !!
whos the numpty that keeps forgetting to take the menu down so we can see the game
Agreed! I skipped watching this video because of that!
I think "call shot, call safe" is the original official format for 10-ball, though it's rarely played that way.
Why are your books in your garage?
that guys nuts
Were these cheap sets? How much did Daniel donate
first time ive heard of American rotation...
14-1 straight pool to be exact...
@@Ramp10er : Not the same.
it sadly didn't take off
25:35 Always some cricket jabbering on your backswing...

I can't understand this kind of pool system.

Efren just got paid, why doesn't that surprise me.....?
Not bad though if you look at is as a 2 hour pool lesson with Efren for only $200, I'd do it.
American rotation is not the best.. I love the philippine rotation..
To each his own
play the real rotation.. per rack not continuation..
Doesn't hurt to change every now and then. Change is good. Monotony is bad.😮😅
Lol, angry black man cursing in the background
Ball in hand on a dry break? That's just dumb.
think about why ball in hand is a rule

Efren is 70, going on 20!😮😅
Rules are dumb, opponent can't play, commentator puts you to sleep with his monotonic voice and Efren is brilliant.

Such a dumb idea for a game..I lol so hard..
This announcer... "It looks like.... [blah blah blah]. It looks like... [blah blah blah]. It looks like....."
