This machine will forever be special. I played Mike's Congo very early on when he bought it over 14 years ago and it turned out to be my first pin I fell on love with. A couple of years ago I finally owned a Congo but had to sell it for personal reasons. The visual pinball team (VPW workshop) did an amazing version of Congo with Mike's machine scans and his hippo pop bumpers live on the VPX version. Glad its in good hands now.
Right on. Thanks for some more history on the machine!
I love how your lineup always was a great mix of era games. Ellie is a beauty. Congo will be a beauty soon too.
Thanks brother! The line up keeps me entertained and so does Ellie :)
Glad your doing a Congo it has fond spot in my memories loved to play it..
I have wanted one forever!
Congrats on Congo and Deadpool Prem!
Thanks Johnny!
@ I forgot to congrats you on the new kitty too. It looks like she keeps trying to get you to go upstairs 😂
Man: you have a Pro Iron Maiden... I picked up the premium edition 11-2022 used... I wish we lived closer and knew each other bud. Big fan of pinball and your content. There are just two machines in the current lineup and I need to get some hands on training from experienced people. Too bad that Canada hates me and won't let me in for another 10 years.
Cheers and stay awesome holmes
Thanks dude, appreciate the kind words! Hit me up in a decade :)
🤙🏻🎮💪🏻
Deadpool is one of my favorite stern pinballs. Absolutely great game
Looking forward to playing the crap out of it!
Deadpool for Magic? I guess the cash was pretty substantial for Deadpool. I used to have Magic I mean, it's a decent game but a little one note.
Oh yeah, the stack o cash was thick :)
Great start. …a good playfield always helps. This one seems really nice.
Indeed!
Great start! Looking forward to you getting skillfire
Me too :)
Awesome video! Love these long form videos, found a guy selling a Bobby Orr power play with a super torn up play field he wants like 1500 for it still are cpr playfields pretty good?
Thanks brother! CPR are great but they are in Canada, if you are in the USA then shipping will be a lot!
Someone has to keep you organized. Not to mention she’s a cutey . 🐈
Haha she sure does and sure is!
One of the greatest tools I’ve ever purchased was a small ultrasonic washer w heat function. I drop my star posts in and it melts the old embedded wax as it cleans them. They come out looking almost brand new.
Btw.. love Congo!
Replied to ur post on the inside forum with some suggestions. Excited for what’s to come
Awesome, thanks for the suggestions!
Hey Mike! I recently did a full shop job on a Congo for a friend. I highly recommend the clear pop bumper bodies from pinballlife. They let a lot more light through and really help illuminate the whole Hippo area. Yours is miles ahead of what I started with. I can tell you've already got new ramps and a Mantis volcano weldment. I hope your gray gorilla works better. I had to replace quite a few parts there to get it batting the captive ball like it should. Anyway, good luck with your shop job!
Ok sweet. Thanks for the info and tips! I will have to check out the Mantis weldment, I had no idea. You think ramps are new too eh! I like the clear pop body idea. My Gorilla works fine but I will remove it soon and check it out!
If you do go with orange star posts for the rest of the table, transparent orange flipper bats with translucent green rubbers would look awesome. That would complete the effect of a combination of the jungle foliage and the lava from the volcano.
Oh that sounds pretty rad!
aaaaaa! Let the journey begins....holy grail pin....master yoda Mike show as the way!!! Hehehehe ❤❤ unscrew and screw the ramp...look for missing parts...hole small because the metal part under needs inspection
Hahaha thanks my brother!
Now i want a Congo!
I have never played a Congo which is why I guess I don't get why they are so expensive. Looking forward to following this one! I'll be doing that same toothpick / glue repair on my Getaway tonight!
Ah nice, it is a good trick for sure!
I watch a lot of your video’s, and I might be mistaken that you already own one, but I recommend a ultrasonic cleaner .
I throw almost every part in it when doing a shopjob and it does wonders. Used starposts usually come out like new. You can just throw the used clear/black ones in instead of ordering new ones :) In the long term it saves quite a bit of money.
they are game changers for sure (no pun intended).
Haha nice!
I have the same issue with the pin2dmd on my Congo.
I have noticed that on several pin2dmds. Must just be a thing?
I've been terrible at making the being line for the past two games. But here we go again. "Simple" shop job. Should be 5.5 episodes? Right? ( It'll probably be 10)
Haha you know me well!
