Alham-dulillah, bismillah, looks delicious my brother 🙏 I am Christian, but I am also grateful and give praise to God for even the simple things. Like a humble meal made from legumes, veggies, bulbs, roots and spices, accompanied with some simple rice.
I wrote out the recipe: * 300g dried chickpeas, soaked overnight in warm water then drained * Fresh water, to cover chickpeas by 3-4cm * 2 inch piece cassia bark (dalchini) * 1 black cardamom * 1 blade mace * 1 pinch baking soda * 1 tsp salt * 2 pieces dried amla (Indian gooseberry), soaked in some warm water -> Place everything in pressure cooker -> Cook 10-15 minutes under high pressure -> Drain and reserve chickpeas * 100ml oil or ghee * 1 large red onion, chopped * 1 tsp cumin * 1 pinch asafoetida (hing) * 1 tsp ginger garlic paste * 2 bay leaves -> Wipe clean the pressure cooker -> Heat oil and fry onion until light brown -> Add other ingredients and fry a few minutes * 1 tsp red chilli powder * 1 tsp turmeric * 1 tsp coriander powder * 2-3 tomatoes * 1 handful coriander stalks -> Grind the tomatoes and coriander into a paste -> Add to the pot with the spices and fry a few minutes * Pre-cooked chickpeas from above * 5-6 fresh green chillies * 1 tsp salt -> Add to the pot and cook until chickpeas are soft * Approx. 300ml water -> Add to the pot and pressure cook another 10 minutes * Handful fresh coriander -> Add, stir, adjust seasoning and serve
Looks good recipe but my dear this is not Lahori chaney,it should be without tomatoes n need to add black pepper powder with good amount of meetha soda ,this is the main ingredient,Shan Punjabi chana masala is best option,must try

if you don't salt your chickpeas and beans until after they are cooked....you will have much softer shells..
