Pro Tip: If you set the playback speed to 75% you can understand her way better. Maybe I'm just too old (58) but I was having a hard time following her until I slowed her roll. But, thanks Kayla, I got what I was looking for in the end.
She is definitely a fast talker. You are not the only one. I'm 61 and almost decided to skip this video until I saw your comment. Now I can listen to it. Thanks.
I was thinking of doing the same pay the annual subscription but if u use all 12 credits within a month u won’t get another 12 till the following year right?
@@Itslilo0240 not true. You can purchase three credits at a time. When you’re down to one credit, they’ll either email you an offer to buy three more. Or you can look at the upper right side in small bold letters offering you to buy three credits. You’ll always be able to buy them in increments of three. I do it all the time.
Not me listening and paying for audible for 3+ years and having no idea about these other options 😅 good lord I need to diversify! Thank you! Great video!
I use Libby and Hoopla. The major different between Libby and Hoopla is Libby does have a wait if the book is in demand. Hoopla there isn't a wait. You can get the audiobook or ebook instantly, which I love, but Hoopla usually doesn't have a lot of newer books.
I use Libby and Hoopla heavily. I average an audiobook a day. I also have cards to two different libraries, so I have a wider range of audiobook choices. I only buy audiobooks if I have already listened to them. For those, I usually get them from Chirp. They inexpensive and have sales all the time.
tinydancer2607 I listen to a book a day, sometimes more ( if they are like a five hr book). Remember, you are listening, not reading. I am a retired widow, & I often listen from the time I get up until I go to sleep. I am home bound by physical problems. I found TV boring & news depressing. I found books on Hoopla not to my taste & my library doesn’t carry many of the popular books in my genre. Audible is way too expensive for me & I am running out of books on UA-cam. Seriously.

I love Audible. They have the best selection by far IMO. You can return books to get your credit back. If it doesn’t allow you to return just chat them and they’ll gladly return it. I have Libby and have library cards to 3 different libraries but rarely find the books I am wanting to read in any form.
I’ve been using Libby so much recently, (just got into audiobooks) but so many that I want are “only on audible” and they’re like 6+ books series 😭 like I’m not gonna wait for credits to read them 😵
It’s not true that an Audible subscription is required for “whisper sync add-ons” or purchasing the paired audiobook for a Kindle book at a cheaper price. Everyone has access to that price once they buy the Kindle ebook- same as what’s available for Audible subscribers. Not sure where you got that from or why you would say that?
With scribd and now Everand it’s not 15 audiobooks it’s more like three and then they block it especially like if you’re reading a series and you finish one they’ll block the next until the next month so it’s getting annoying it didn’t used to be like that

Thank you. With respect, it would be so much better if you could take a bit of a sound break between your cuts as its hard to gather everything you are saying and the speed you are using. Thank you.
Hello, I believe you can slow down the speed on any video on UA-cam. You can also add closed captions and pause when needed. I do that when taking notes.
OK, thank you for this video. This is the video I’ve been looking for someone to do on UA-cam and talk about this. because I am struggling to figure out which service is bang for your buck. I had scribd and still do but I’m probably canceling it before it renews the beginning of October because the price went up and I’m not sure it’s worth it. But like audiobooks are expensive so I’m trying to figure out the best service for your money
There’s a HUGE audible sale through the end of the week! A ton of titles for $3-$6 so I’d recommend using your trial or getting a membership for the month to stock up! All the books I got averaged to $5 each so a third of what it would cost in credits! Overall Scribd is still the best bang for my buck with the price and how many books I can listen to but the selection could definitely be better! And Libby/Hoopla are great free options, just have to be patient with holds.
Is there a limit for the number of devices you can log your account into or limit for number of devices listening at the same time? Like if I want yo share it with a partner
Great video…ignore all the people who think they need to tell you what to do and how to speak. Good grief we have a rude society! Scroll on people and in your own manner of telling people what to do….go find a different video that’s better for you.
A lot of people don’t just sit down and listen to an audiobook. They also clean the house while listening, go on walks, eat or cook while listening too
Kayla, with respect, the sound quality of your video is so poor it is hard to track what you are saying. Also...SLOW down, you sound like a chipmonk on helium at times.

I pay audible yearly to get 12 credits at once and take advantage of their multiple sales. I have accumulated 1400 audiobooks this way.

@itslilo8951 that's correct.
The best thing I did was to get my books put onto audiobook and onto audible. Love it.
I appreciate how fast you talk. It is easy for us ADD peeps. Thank you for the info

How do you get another library card? Don’t you need to live in that area or I’m guessing you got a student library card

You can only return 2 books ever - try it a third time and you get banned
Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Thank you so much, I was looking for this video on different subscriptions, will go look for your kindle review next! 🙌
Thank you! That is very helpful information. I didn't know how many audio book options I already have access to.

This was excellent! All I wanted to know about audiobooks. Thanks 😊
Thank you, Kayla, for a great introduction to audiobooks!😊❤
Do you have Spotify? They recently added audiobooks and I would like a review of it
Audiobooks save me from my long commute.
So true I love audiobooks so much, what is your fav book this year Kayla. Audible is the one for me. Have you listened to a lot of non-fiction books?
I love audiobooks I listen whenever a situation is to much it helps to take me in to the wizarding world 😊😂

I've been wondering why you only get an audible book and not the words to follow along with... wish there was an app like that.
Would that mean i can get the whole harry potter series for one credit?
Is there one with multiple readers not just one reader?
If it is audible can you read along?
Excellent tips!! Thank you!!
There is something that I have not been able to find anywhere. How can I listen amazon audible on TV?

How do I slow down your speed talk?
Go to setting. Click playback
There is a setting for playback speed on UA-cam.
If you purchase book with credits is it yours ro keep forever even if i dont renew subscription
Yes, you own it forever

I've got a problem with a Kindle app, the prompt moves slower than audio narration... It's irritates me like hell...
Informative video constructive thoughts…please slow down when talking…this is difficult to comprehend when info is being delivered so quickly.

Good morning Kayla happy Wednesday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
What's the difference between Kindle Unlimited and Audible membership?
KU is for ebooks for the Kindle, Audible is audiobooks
Ok thank you @@kaitlyng.473

How about “Chirp?”

How did you hear about Libby?
The upward inflection in your voice after every single sentence made this difficult to listen to. Overall very informative though, thank you
Books the best❤❤
You kind of talk too fast but I had to rewind it so I can make sure I got their formation thank you though I appreciate you
Slow down!!!! Skipped this as talking to fast, couldn't understand anything
Simple they all suck except audible. Audible has all the titles. You’re gonna pay no matter what. Unless you read than kindle has way better titles.
DOES THIS GIRL SPEND HER ENTIRE DAY LISTENING TO AUDIO BOOKS????
A lot of people don’t just sit down and listen to an audiobook. They also clean the house while listening, go on walks, eat or cook while listening too
Waaay too fast and choppy. Im out.
SPEAK SLOWER LADy
My oh my can this woman ever talk
blah, blah,blah, and blah!
The fast talking thing is way out of date on UA-cam now and annoying.
Sing song yapper! Sit on your hands, speak slowly, enunciate clearly. Bye!
No need to be rude. If you don’t like the video move on
I don’t even know what sing song yapper means. I’m guessing it’s an old expression
I heard her just fine. Be kinder, you can make your criticism constructive instead of rude
Nobody asked Rick
maybe youre just old
