Kitties' First Time Chasing Laser Light

- Join us as we play with the kitties - we pull out a laser light for them to play with for the first time. If you stay for the whole 2 minutes... you'll find that the best part isn't the laser, it's when Pandora stops stalking the laser and begins stalking Mona's tail while Mona chases the laser!
Introducing the stars of the show:
Mona - our dilute calico with short fur (gray, cream, white)
Toast - our brown, black, and white cat with a small orange blaze down her forehead, she has longer and fluffier fur - Shout out to Kelsie A for identifying Toast as our Alpha Kitty!
Pandora - brown, black, and white, with a lot of white on her chest and belly, also with short fur
Cutie Pie;Lovely;Here We Go - Bella gave her cat a first name, middle name, and last name. She has long fur with very distinct black, brown and white markings. She is the biggest of the 4 cats. Luckily for us, Bella no longer requests that we rotate the first, middle, and last names every day.

Welcome to the Red Barn Cavaliers family home! We invite the families and friends of our puppies 'into' our home to watch their puppy thrive and grow. You are viewing some of our current Cavalier puppies. We perform all of their care on the livestream for families to see and be part of, including vaccinations, weight checks, dewormings, socialization, and so more.
We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with an emphasis on their emotional-social development. We have raised many puppies for the distinct purpose for becoming Emotional Support Animals. This breed of dog has a temperament that is ripe for therapeutic bonding. We nurture those characteristics to help bring them out and optimize them further.
We potty train our puppies using pine pellets designed for rehydration. Our puppies typically understand where to go potty within about a week of practice, and they use the potty tray on their own.. By about 6-7 weeks old, they begin waking during the night to use the potty tray.
Our young puppies are kept in our master bedroom for 24-hour observation and care. We leave the audio on so that viewers are able to hear the puppies' vocalizations, but that means you may overhear some personal interactions. We prefer this format because we are able to easily provide context or clarity to viewers if necessary. We show you how we potty train our puppies beginning around 7 days old, plus how we nurture their development throughout their 8 weeks with us to hand off a well-trained puppy to their family.

Was watching the start of your cat stream
- kitty doors are great, but remember the door doesn't check IDs. What I mean is " not my cat" housecats have walked right through the kitty door and made themselves at home. Also, I have woods, I closed the kitty door permanently once a raccoon came through it. That was fun: get my leather gauntlets and a broom.
- all of my cats have definitely known their names plus nicknames Sassy (the regulator) would come to Sassy, Pretty, Regulator, and Pants (short form of sassy pants). She also came to "lil girlfriend, hurry, and princess." She was my ESA before I knew what an ESA is.
- yours are still learning their names (just like puppies) so reinforce their name like you do with puppies.
- Great example of why Persians are hideous cats: they know their names but choose to ignore you. The really obnoxious ones will hear their name and decide to start grooming themselves.
- their headbutt is basically cat for "love you.". It's one way they show affection.
Your cats seem really good! I would never guess barn cats.
With the names, when I picked the name Beatrix, do you remember me saying I'll probably call her Trixie? When a word ends -y or -ie your tone of voice basically raises and cats respond to it really well. I was trying to get an -ie name for Beatrix. Now I shorten her name to Bee or Queen Bee. I actually have always used the name Trixie in place of an airheads name. 😂 Like well, when Trixie assessed my house she didn't bother to record the forced air heat and put "baseboards". I'm surprised it wast Cutie that learned her name first.
You are doing so well with the cats, I'd never guess first time cat owner.
