It’s upsetting to remember the worst parts of their own lives. Believe me…I get that too, singing just one song of my own made me sad cause it was relatable to my trauma
You may notice that certain characters are singing the Afton family song. I'll tell you reasons for each. Charlotte: She was murdered by William and spied on him throughout his torture. Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare: They're Evan's nightmares. Vanessa: Thanks to Matpat, she's apparently a clone of Elizabeth if it's possible. Gregory: Thanks to Matpat, because it's possible that he may be a robot. He's possibly built by Evan (somehow). Well, Maybe not since there are other theories that disagree with this. Ennard: He has similar memories as Michael's. Basically everyone: They were saddened by the trauma and suffering the Afton family had to go through. We know the order of events in the FNAF timeline but we still don't any evidence to know the exact truth of certain events to get clear with what we know. Only Scott knows the truth to all of this and it's up to us to find it out. The many theories remain as theories yet to be debunked or confirmed.
