hi...do you know if the extender bracelet plates can be used in the mini press?
    thanks....

Jim Shields No I don't believe they will. The opening is too small for them. But they will work in the medium sized and large presses.

Hi Melissa. What exactly can you not do with the (former)bolt together press that you can do with a full size press? If it's too much to reply to here on youtube, would you consider writing a blog entry about it? Thanks so much.

whynot184 Thanks for the question. The nice thing about the Bolt Together (Medium) Press is that you can pretty much do most of what the larger will do. The only problem is the smaller opening. That makes it so I have to cut metal down to fit into the press opening. For instance, I order a lot of my sheet in 6" x 12" or longer lengths. If I am working in the larger presses, I don't need to cut down my metal when stamping out a shape with a pancake die, especially those for the bracelet dies. In the larger press, I just feed it through. I am not able to do that in the smaller press. If I want to make a larger piece, say something that is 6" or more, I would not be able to do that in the smaller press. Bonny Doon offers a 6" contained urethane set up (I don't own one, but wish I did for some larger pieces) But that wouldn't work in the smaller press. In reality, the bolt together works really well for most people, especially those making smaller pieces, such as jewelry. Another thing to keep in mind is that the smaller one is not upgradable to an electric press. I hope this helps a little. I try to make a video in the near future that shows the things I like best and don't between the two.

Melissa Muir Yes, that was quite helpful, thank you. I'll look forward to that video as I do all of your videos. Thanks again.

    Hello...
Would this tool be useful to flatten 22gauge stainless steel and maybe flatten dents?

Ivette Garza Hi, there shouldn't be any problem with that at all. You would just be limited to the size of the opening of the press, but other than that, this would be a great tool for that. What kind of dents are you talking about?

Small dents that are created when cutting stainless steel sheets with shear scissors ..i cut most of my pieces about 6cm by 1cm..the stainless steel then curls up and i have to re-flatten again..i have to use a hammer to reshape and flatten..I figured with this tool i can speed up the process.

Ivette Garza Yes, I believe this would work rather well in that application.
