    • @CorvuSphere
      @CorvuSphere  Рік тому +30

      One thing I'd like to get across with these videos, and something I hope more people come to realize, is that newer generations of mangakas take a lot of inspiration from what came before. Just as One Piece took a lot of inspiration from Dragon Ball, Jujutsu Kaisen takes a lot of inspiration from Bleach and Hunter x Hunter. Then the next generation will build off of that and so on. It's something to be mindful of when comparing an older series with a newer one.

      it's actually getting animated soon, although I think that some of its details will be slightly reworked to fit the One Piece universe and Ryuma's actual story in OP, like, I wouldn't be surprised if the setting will be changed from a western ish world to a much more japanese style world, to retraoctively fix the continuity and make it clear that what Ryuma did was actually in wano (which obviously Oda didn't know at the time)

    If I ever wanted to become an comic book artists or an illustrator, I'm really jalouse some others can live in a country where being an artist can be an accessable job unlike in my country where it can be difficult since most of the educational tracks are non related to arts.
    And it's not something of a needed thing in our society, regardless I maybe living a life of an student which I very much hated as people working in office jobs, I hope too will eventually do something I love and dreamed of as Oda's.

    Whatever Oda went through, he made it. And he knew he would make it. But its not because he was overconfident. He had a plan since he was 17 years old and refinef it. He wasn't chasing the dragon, he was louring the dragon towards him with the most effective trap that he spent years constructing. He knew it would work out at the end as if he was concluding the most basic math problem. Oda had figured out the equation of his path. The equation of becoming a big mangaka, and he made sure he ticked all the boxes to the point that the industry went to him instead. The mind of a successful dream catcher, not dream chaser.

    I feel like the editor truly inspires Oda's writings of the StrawHats considering Asada went out of his ways just to help Oda realised his dreams kinda reminds you of how far the SH will go for their captain's dream. And Kushima might serves as an inspiration for Shanks considering both constantly reject Oda and Luffy respectively while also being the people who have so much confident and faith on them. Oda truly is the main character here.

    Thanks Oda. I’m glad you didn’t allow the gatekeepers to keep you down. You didn’t sell out and make a blond haired, blue eyed main character and you didn’t copy dbz. I’m glad the new editor gave him his proper shot

    great video, this and the Isayama vid covered a lot of flaws in both the development process and final works of manga authors, doing it in a really honest and healthy way, too.
    Was wondering, is an analysis of Naruto's author Kishimoto planned? there seems to be a lot of rumors about how the manga was made (relating to editors and all that), and i feel like it would be an interesting topic to cover, since even the finished product has a lot of flaws that im sure Kishimoto has talked about and/or tried to deal with.

      Thank you! Yes actually, I have a Kishimoto video planned though with my current "roadmap" I think it should be in the works Jan/Feb 2024. I've heard these rumors about the editors as well and have wanted to look into it in depth. The anime also had some interesting influence on his work and I've been wanting to talk about that as well.
