I literally cried watching this. I finally found an aesthetic that resonates with my soul 💕 I feel so at home in all things girly 🎀🍰 I just want to squeal every time I see these things!!
My ideas that I would personally put in my coquette room: -vintage ballet shoes that you hang on your wall or desk -cinderella glass slippers or maybe just any vintage pink heels with bows that you hang somewhere -vintage handheld mirror and brush set -flower crown -wicker basket with flowers all over it that you can use for storage -ceramic vase with fake flowers -vintage perfume bottles -disney princess storybook journals -dress form -vintage floral bag -pink laduree box
When the "coquette" aesthetic became popular recently I said, "this is what it's called?" My entire grade school through present... this style has been ME. ( my teen bedroom in the 80s was draped with flowers and lace, etc....my guest room as a 56 year old today is completely Coquette and Shabby Chic. (Hubby let's me do whatever I want with the guest room lol) My beauty room and closet is Loveshackfancy meets French femme. --I just didn't know there was a term for all of this. Completely me and now others out there are proudly hyper feminine like me!!🤗🎀 I love it!!
I learnt new term and aesthetic today 😊 looks amazing (not really for me as I see myself and dress as more of a tomboy but I remember my mum used to dress me similarly when i was a kid - floral or pink or white pretty dresses) I do like seeing it because it looks pretty nonetheless
I’m making my own offspring of coquette. I call it wooden coquette. It includes that one not dark but not neon shade of pink and that Nintendogs orangish wood for tables and flooring and other stuff
So I've always loved shabby chic without it being too shabby. So I guess I'm more cool cat. I love the idea of recreating Marie Antoinette's bedroom somehow. Thank you for explaining this coquette style new subscriber
Pink quartz heal... Known for heart related healing g or attract love... But personally I think excellent nerve pain. I had severe nerve pain in jaw and direct contact on jaw with rose quartz blocked pain but only if held there. Off even holding the pain was there, so carrying around I pockets didn't work.
I'm this but also dark academia, and like you say not black on black but just vintage, classic. And kitchen what's now labeled as cottagecore... But I say homesteading.
omg nooo!! Any gender, race or ethnicity can be feminine, no aesthetic is bound for a "specific" type of person and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. you do you, always!

Interesting choice of words for this aesthetic. I would call it romantic but I'm old. Perhaps the use of word has changed?
First!
Am I completely insane for using my tea tray in the kitchen for fruits
Nope i do too
I loved this style as a trans man and I didn’t realise it was feminine only😭

To me it almost seems like a newer version of shabby chic?
Yeah! Some of the items still feel shabby chic-ish to me tho like the bed sheets
