I replaced the rear shock absorber of my Activa with that of the Jupiter. It cost me Rs. 1010/- at a TVS showroom/service center. The mechanic took Rs. 100/- for the replacement job. It feels much better now. Thank you :)

Since you replaced your normal suspension with that of jupiter, the height of activa increases and due to that doesn't it create pressure for the front Shockers?

HI Jhampa66, it would have been great , if you had done a side by side comparison of both these shock absorbers in size/length. And the seating height before & after this change. Which will help in lot.

haa bhai kya xperience raha....yaha honda ka service centre toh mana kar raha hai...bolta hai sir aap default hi lagwao...beacause company kaafi research k baad hi suspension lagati hai....

Shock absorbers for front and rear look the same. They both have springs around. Is there any difference in their size? I saw both in videos only.

I am a military veteran.I lost my rt leg from mid thigh in action. I have bought an Activa 125 and fitted it with side wheels. It has spring shockers. I find it's very difficult to drive as it goes swinging/pulling left or right. Will replacing the shockers with Nitro gas TVS Jupitor have any effect? Btw what all size tools does one require for repair of the Activa? Stay in Mumbai Ashok Nager, Kandivali(e). Some help please thanks.

In the same way, can you please tell me how the rear suspensions in Suzuki Access 125 and Yamaha Fascino differ from the above two. I read that Yamaha Fascino has something called Unit swing suspension and Suzuki access has Swing arm suspension. How do they fare in comparison to the Gas filled Suspension?. Please explain

I have passion pro can you suggest gas suspension for rear which could fit the size of Passion pro suspension(the company provides simple spring suspension) and also which telescopic suspension is better original of hero or is there any other alternative .
Reason as explained by you, after couple of Weeks the quality of Suspension degrades and it is not comfortable at all
I know it is much to ask but about the specification, but it is always better to take advise from automobile expert then a garage sales person.

Honda gives low features. but it's engine r so refined and smooth. and honda gives good riding experience. n when u r thinking about selling ur old vehicles. Honda gets good resale value. Honda activa rocks market since last 16 years. It has become no. 1 selling two wheeler. Bro can u change the front shock absorber to hydraulic because when we brake the stock shock throw the wheels outwards due to this front wheel seems pretty stiff and braking is not efficient see the Vespa and compare to activa please answer me

Sorry for bugging in again but oil doesn't absorb the shock it's the job of spring it damps the shock.
on high performance vehicles you can literally adjust almost everything like preload, compression, damping, rebound etc.
that's not real because the suspension when go down then friction was going up and down they needed the oil to movie up and down
Dude you better search on Google that how suspension system works. If you own a high performance Motorcycle, say KTM and it leaks it's oil from front forks the suspension becomes bouncy.
And as Newton's law says "A body at rest remains at rest, and a body in motion continues to move at constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force." the exact happens with a spring if you bounce,it will keep shrinking and expanding, to control the same we need the "oil" to "damp" the motion.
