  • Bukhara is a fascinating city located at the intersection of the Silk Road, in the heart of Central Asia. With its thousands of years of history and unique architecture, Bukhara is like a time capsule where history has come to a standstill. Considered one of the most important centers of Islamic civilization, Bukhara has been a center of attraction for scholars, merchants and travelers throughout history.
Bukhara has a historical heritage rich enough to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is possible to encounter a madrasah, mosque, tomb or caravanserai in every corner of the city. Kalan Minaret, built in the 9th century and considered one of the masterpieces of Islamic architecture, is one of the symbols of the city. This minaret, which even Genghis Khan gave up demolishing, bears witness to the history and power of Bukhara.
Bukhara is known not only for its architecture but also for its contributions to science and culture. In the Middle Ages, Bukhara became one of the most important centers of science and learning in the Islamic world. Famous scientists such as Ibn Sina and Biruni grew up in these lands. During these periods, Bukhara stood out not only as a trade center but also as a center of knowledge and learning.
