Waiting on a Van Dyke brown from “artist grade” as felt Sepia so black, burnt sienna bit to “orange” but needed in any pallet. So hoping how you ended up with 3 brown range will help not to just mix “burnt sienna & burnt umber” & hear it’s very granulating. Amazing how same name colors can be so different by brand. Ty good video & that “red” reminds me of Indian red. Raw sienna is the color still learning as using Da Vinci’s & still very light. Ty!
I love those colors…. 🥰 the sepia is my fave just because I adore sepia. Also… I appreciate you talking about the glazing properties that’s something I still don’t think about intuitively when I paint.
I don't know why some brands have that light yellow raw umber. Reminds me of raw sienna. I very much prefer the dark version like Daniel Smith and M Graham have. van dyke brown 2 😍 I also like the sepia.
Nom nom nom. How do I just like all colours. I don't need all in my palettes, but I honestly like all these. Thank you for sharing! It must feel good to finish a series!
Oh the Brown Red is beautiful, like the color on its own is stunning but those mixes! Oh the red it mixed was so deep and like, blood-red like, oh that's beautiful, and the other mixes too, gosh ❤️
Great video, as usual. I have been lukewarm about these paints, but this set of colors were lovely. I really liked the soft and clean mixes from raw umber. Your expertise is so helpful. Have you changed how you are recording or changed equipment lately? I have had to crank up the volume on these recent episodes. A small inconvenience to be sure, I would watch your videos with my face plastered to the screen if I had to🤓
I'm so sorry about the sound, yes I was fiddling around with a lot of things. I'm still struggling with the sound for some reason but I'm working to resolve this issue.
Oto, the very first watercolor paint that I purchased was the ShinHan Professional Watercolor 30 set. I am confused with the different tubes of paint by ShinHan with the names SWC, PWC, ShinHan, etc. What is the difference between each product and its performance? It would be interesting to see them compared one against the other.
Great question! The PWC (Extra Fine Artist Watercolor - I know, it doesn't go with the acrnym, I don't get it either) is their professional range. The Shinhan Professional Watercolor is their mid range? Then Shami watercolor is their student range. It's super confusing though and I've also heard that the PWC is also called SWC in some countries? As I said, very confusing :/
@@OtoKano honey don’t be sorry I know you’re trying to set up a new studio and things need a little adjustment. Hope your settling in well. Best of everything for 🇺🇸
I love this series and I'm glad we have more colors in a video
The Vandyke brown two is really moody. I love it.
yes, it's a gorgeous color!

Brown Red is one of my favorite colors by Shin Han!

Yes, the sepia is a LOVELY color :D
Thanks for your tutorials. Happy Teacher's Day.

I agree with you, the color mixes are wonderful!

Is there a video where you talk about the cards you are using? For example the layout, how you paint them, why those 3 primaries, paper type, etc?
I've actually just filmed a video in which I explain all this :D It's the first video of the new QoR series coming up this month.

Thanks Oto. The raw umber is weak. Reminds me of a raw sienna.
I agree with you about the raw umber
@@OtoKano I really like it as a raw sienna though. I wasn't trying to bash the color. I use raw sienna a lot .😁
Raw Umber looked more like *Raw Sienna* 🤷
(to me 😉)
Love this series but your volume is really bad I can’t hear you even with my volume all the way up.
I'm sorry! There must've been an issue when I compiled the video. I'll try and make them better when I record my next ones.
