NCC stands for National Cadet Corps. It's the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, and is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. The NCC offers basic military training in small arms and drill.
It is your holistic development. Your overall personality gets developed. If you don't want to go in any defense services, then also its ok. You will benefit with bonus marks in various govt. positions.
Combined Annual Training Camp(CATC) is organized at district level and it is for all the cadets and it is mandatory for all cadets of A, B and C certificate
Get in touch with your ANO and ask him about your interest of joining the Para Camp. When the notification come in to your unit about this camp, they will call the deserving candidates based on their performance.
After 12th, in college you should select the college where NCC is available, there you need to contact your NCC officer for the selection date, prepare for the selection by watching my videos and practicing daily. All the best!
Selection process is dependent on your ANO and CO sir and the seat availability and applications received. if number of application received is more than available seats then selection process will be tough, because seats are limited. Normally selection process includes, running, pushup's, command skills and physical fitness.
For camp you need to stay there only. Normal routine class are per unit schedule. For school students, it held in school and for college students they need to go to NCC unit to attend the class. For some of the topics school students also need to go to the unit to attend the session. Such as shooting.
