Ottimo lavoro !! Complimenti. Per fare il lavoro che hai fatto vedere occorre una grande abilita e pazienza. Un caro saluto e rimango in attesa del prossimo video
Thank you very much my friend! The most difficult part was the copper plating in this one. The most difficult model i ever made so far was Santa Ana. This one is easier than Santa Ana but only for experienced modelers.
I would grateful if you would take time to respond to my question. I just turned 75 and plan on building one model to leave to my family when I'm gone. I do not care how long it will take and I feel that I have the wood working skills to complete a complicated model . I have built several custom muzzle loading 18th century rifles from scratch. Could you recommend a ship model to build if you were going to make just one. Thank you for your time.
I most certainly reply to you. First of all i hope for you to have many many more years to live. Secondly if you never have made a wooden ship to make a difficult one it's going to be hard. Even though i believe that if you follow one of my series you will get a good result for just one ship. One easy to built but not big is La Candelaria. A little harder is the HMS Beagle. If you want to make a big one i think that Santisima Trinidad was the "easiest" one of the big ships. For all the above i have full series. Feel free to ask me anything whenever you wish :)
P58…. I have been building ship models for just over a year. My first ship was the HMS Beagle. I opened the box and was worried I wasted money and would not be able to do it. I excelled very quickly with johns help and videos. Thanks John!!! Since then in the last year have done the Santisma Trinidad, La Candelaria, and the Montanes which is such a beautiful ship!!! Just majestic!!! Now, I am organizing my bench to start the Santa Ana. I also have many videos on the Montanes. P58… go for the Montanes. You will not regret it. John and I and many others will help you!!! Jerry😊

Really nice work John. Those rigging instructions look complicated.
Thank you my friend! They are, i had to study them a lot.
After watching you perform miracles with the bowsprit, I think I'm going back to plastic airplane models. LoL Wonderful Job! - Mike
No Mike , don't! Wood is alive , you can do miracles , plastic is not. Thank you again for your kind words!!!
Nicely done, John. 👍 Question: Do you feel this model has challenged you the most or have you done others that have been harder?

Great video. The Victory is looking awesome. I finally ordered my first ship the Albatross. The CA you uses is it thick or thin?
Thank you very much Tim!!! It's thin and it's this one : www.super-hobby.co.uk/products/KLEJ-CYJANOAKRYLOWY-CA-RZADKI-20g.html
