This song fits greatly with Onita. Also, it has a lot of variations and remixes through the years. My favorite version is the one played in 1995 at the Tokyo Dome in his match against Chono.
Combat Toyota and Atsushi Onita were a couple to my knowledge .Have that retirement match against Megumi Kudo which was an explosion death match . Awesome match .
Onita's actual used Wild Thing version seems to be only available from an album released by BMG Victor. It was recorded by a Japanese band and not performed by X. There are 3 versions of Wild Thing by X and this is one of them. Onita's FMW version has a distinct difference than all the versions by X. Please refer to his cage match against Tenryu. He ended up using the version from the "Ain't love Grand" album by X. Please refer to his death match against Chono. I have found no link to find that version. I hope one day it'll make it online in its entirety. One can order the cd produced my BMG Victor from Japan.
It's a damn good thing the Japanese Imperial army didn't have Onita during WW2. He'd probably have just gotten up from Fat Man after a 2 count and lit another cigarette.

If Moxley used this version I would’ve been jumping around like a school kid. It was still a cool experience but this one would have been legendary!

This version is a lot better than the original cause it has a Runaways vibe that suits Onita really well.
Moxley is using this exact song on AEW tonight!!!

Combat Toyoda used this, too, during her retirement match. At least the Tokyo Pop tape has it playing.

And just so anyone knows all CDs are region free and will play anywhere 🤘
I think he used more than one version. The NJPW Tokyo Dome match vs the FMW Funk match that I could find on UA-cam are definitely different.

Why Onita chose this song for entering the rings? I read he was influenced by the movie Field of Dreams.
Well, he claimed to have slept with thousands of women :)
