I love this, I love Spiritbox. Reminds me of Perennial a bit (which is my favorite Spiritbox song). Every song can’t be what everyone wants it to be. For me it’s amazing because I can’t scream sing just yet, so I can sing along with this whole track. Huge plus.

Saw them at the Wiltern last week. Was so good live. They also covered Hella Good by No Doubt. Their stage production on this tour is absolutely great.
Something different for sure! Love most of it especially her vocal tone! Just hard to get past electronic parts. Never been a fan of techno anything but that could change after a few listens! Lol.

I love this band’s versatility. not every metal song has to have these elements. the guitars are still heavy, the drums sound amazing and I love the pattern. it’s an upbeat song instead of how most metal sounds dark and depressing. courtney also said on twitter that this is a part of a bigger project (i’m gonna assume an album) that this song is going to continue into another song and that this song does not sound the same as the rest of them. people still continue to compare them to jinjer for whatever stupid reason (like come on they are two completely different styles of metal and two completely different vocalists just cause they’re both female means nothing I wish people would move on) so if it’s not heavy, the metal community tends to ditch it. I think spiritbox is doing the metal community a huge favor because they are pulling in new people who don’t necessarily listen to metal and giving them a taste of what it’s like which then leads them to heavier spiritbox songs and then other heavy bands. I think that spiritbox is one of the best bands out there in the metalcore scene for that reason, and the fact that they aren’t afraid to experiment or incorporate elements that you typically hear in metal or the fact that they have said they don’t give two shits about what people think of their music cause they’re going to make whatever they want and how they feel in the moment. they’re not people pleasers. what they do is what makes them happy. wish more bands would do this instead of following the same recipe that people want from them to keep their fans happy or follow your typical metalcore formula. spiritbox is changing the game and the scene and it’s so refreshing. anyways sorry about my rant lol great reaction as always!!! 🖤
Was a fan when they were with IRABO, Spirit Box was rooted in Horror theme. Like I commented first time I heard it. Constance had personal attachment and meaning had people in tears. I personally don't think they are anything like JINJER, butt are 2 of my top 3😈🤘.
@@jerrykeck1494 IWABO was good for sure and I preferred courtney and mike in the band but you could tell they were stuck in the mold of what people wanted from IWABO especially after they put their last record out that was more serious. the other problem was courtney was trying too hard to mimic krista’s voice instead of letting her own shine. i’m glad her and mike were able to leave and start their own project. and I agree they are nothing like jinjer. like I said they are two different types of metal sub genres and two completely different vocalists. it’s for that reason that I wish there would stop being a comparison between the two. both vocalists and bands are absolutely incredibly talented. the only reason they are a part of the whole “courtney vs tati” is because they’re both female vocalists. like there are so many male metal vocalists how often do you see “this one vs the other one” it’s so very rare. I just wish they could both be free of that stigma and be a part of the entire metal scene instead of “let’s put two female vocalists against each other because they’re female” and hell they’ve both said they’re huge fans of each other which is another reason why I just wish people would drop it. let’s accept they are two completely different bands with two completely different genres and two complete different vocal styles that still fit in the abroad metal category. (i’m also like where’s the collab with each other though cause that would be sick 😂)

Lena is just now coming into her stage presence. I compare all 3 women not to put one over the other but to showcase the way they're techniques differ. Tatiana sings from her core. Show's by her stance when she's on stage. Courtney pushes from her chest, can watch her throw her shoulders back. Lena sing's from her head, so relaxed in her body but almost shape shifting her throat & mouth. INFECTED RAIN Taphaphobia sing through is best video for this. Can never decide to have one favorite, love them all equally 😈🤘. If interested I could list bunch more. What concerns me the most is possibly losing one of my top 3 favorite bands to mainstream. I completely agree with you on IWABO. Part of why I fell so hard for Spirit Box.
Thank you. I hate the knee-jerk reaction of "no screams = bad" that a lot of the community seems to have. It's like, do you guys not listen to anything other than metal? You know that it's not the only good music genre out there, right? A breakdown would have made this song worse. It wouldn't fit. If they did "ambient guitars into breakdown" every time, then people would start complaining that every song sounds the same. Let's just ignore the random negativity and enjoy the song haha
This is the first song of theirs that has been pretty meh to me. I don't dislike it, but it just hasn't really grabbed me and made me hit replay or seek it out to listen to it. This one isn't even remotely close to Trust Fall or any of the other songs from the Singles Collection IMO. You still need to go back and do Electric Cross to finish that off.
Really wishing they'd go back to their 2017 proggy/djent inspired sound. This track has some good energy but it comes and goes. I might enjoy it more if the end is a transition to a bigger song on an album, but otherwise this is just too basic for me.
