Its called inside camping. There are a few reasons why this could be. The inside camping position from what i have noticed and worked on, its very hard to pass against flexible and tricky guard players. They will invert and their flexible hips make it hard to tire their abs or legs out. Gordon went against top pressure passers in patrick, yuri, gaudio, andre, pedro. But against felipe he struggled twice to pass using the method. Well this could be due to his sickness and trying to tire him out. But yeah, we only seens the surface of this pass, and would like to see if this pass works on tricky guard players.
@@vynongaming553 thanks for your reply. gr used the inside camping position on fp in his last match. despite fp losing the inside camping wasnt as successful
@@jondon827 Yeah he did it twice against him in his previous matches. It was not successful. Dominic meija also tried it against owen jones, same with giancarlo bodoni vs dante leon. All of them tried it and weren’t sucessful. I think just having inside camping is not good enough. Adding headquarters passing camp like kaynan duarte with it might change things. Kaynan doesnnot have inside camping but he does tire people out with his modified headquarters and he does use split squat which the inside camping is just a modified split squat. But we will see. Jason rau has caught on with this, with his headquarter Instructional coming out
I’ve always been a fan of amateur wrestling, boxing, MMA, karate… but I’ve never been able to get into jiu jitsu. There is something very bizarre about a Marshall art where you lay on your back and wait for your opponent to come to you.
@@kenn3250 it’s more fart than art. In mma it is interesting because the guy scooting around on his ass can get punched in his face. Watching two dudes scooting around on their ass or laying on the mat hugging is not my cup of tea.
@@Chance-ry1hq never any hugging in wrestling or boxing or mma that’s true. That’s a shame you’re not able to appreciate what is a great martial art, your loss I guess.
Yeah its not he most viewer-friendly sport/martial art. It's not for everybody. If you actually do train, matches are easier to put yourself in the athletes perspective.
how did they Weird Al to ref? That's awesome!
legendary
I think Bodoni should have won this he was the one controlling the pace through out the whole match and Dante is reacting to the pressure from Bodoni
The composure when he's being heavy cross faced ,that's what makes a winner 🏆
Did anyone count the number of leg attacks?
gb was using gorodn ryan's sprawling method to pass dl's half guard but wasnt as succesful as gordon. why?
Because it's Gordon's technique. Next ADCC gb will be way more effective in utilizing it.

The length of gordon makes it easier for him, Bodoni is a shorter guy and even against another shorter guy like leon this method isn't as effective
AYYYYYYY 👏 👏 👏 👏

You may not need BJJ to win, but you need BJJ to survive
love how New Wave is getting their ass handed to them
Lol, hardley had his ass handed to him.
Delusional take, Bodoni won his division.
You should consider watching JJ championships before you yap online about them. Bodoni won his weight class. Gold medal. G O L D. Twice.
This one could have gone either way
@@mdigi1 Bodoni is a class act. Nothing to do with the rest of the New Wave.
