Every generation has their own fabulous music. It all depends what speaks to you. If this touches you, that's what matters. No matter your age. Keep an open mind on music. Every decade/year produces something special. Ignore the critics. Just be you.
This album would be playing in my house all the time when I was growing up, and this was one of my favorite songs. I haven't heard it in years, but I was somehow reminded of it. Thank you, Dad, for having such great taste in music.💕
I know I’m 3 years late, but I had the same experience! My dad played this all the time when I was younger. I completely forgot about the songs until I heard this recently. I have such a strong sense of nostalgia listening to them now
2020 and I still come back to this song from time to time! I was in college when I found this gem back in 2006. Now I have kids and they like this song, so passing it on to the next generation.
Same!! Lol. I was a total weirdo and I would watch either the Hitcher or the Crow (or sometimes VH1) every day when I would get ready for school midway through middle school and almost all of high school because I liked the music so much from both of those movies. Hearing this song really takes me back to those days. The other song I loved from the Hitcher was Closer by NIN. Plus that chase scene was badass lol.
wow. i heard about this song from the ice show i was in last weekend. one of the high groups did a really freaky number to this song, and everybody was freaked out. their outfits looked like lizrads. lol!
no... the gomez @ Summer Camp in Three Sisters Park, IL this year is a rather delightful solo act. He is a Mexican one man band. His signature song is titled "donkeys and tequilla". Enjoy!!
I remember listening this song for the first time while I was half-sleep... I cant recall the calm this song brought me after mounts of "storms".... Thanks Gomez
Heard this song for the first time last week. It has been played daily on the satellite radio at my work. Searched for a half hour today trying to find out what it was called and who recorded it. LOVE IT!
Listened to this on the way out of vail Colorado from one of the best ski and snowmobiling adventures in my life. Thanks for this Gomez I plan on moving there this year.
i first heard a Gomez song on Grey's Anatomy and i looked it up and listened to it for awhile. Now i just heard this song and others on Grey's Anatomy and loved them!!! i want some albums for Christmas i love them soooo much!!
Thank you to the musical episode of Grey's tonight for sending me in this direction. Was madly googling lyrics when Owen busted this one out - love it. Will definitely be listening to some more Gomez in the future!! :)
I’ve been following these guys since 1999, and it kills me that they haven't had the success that they deserved. Whereas the likes of Coldplay and Adele are worshipped here and in the States, FFS!!!
People this is one of the great bands of all time! Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball are two of the best singer-songwriters ever, and Tom Gray is a brilliant vocalist and keyboard player, and their songs are wicked good, and if you never heard of them, it's because American and UK radio sucks balls. Go outside the F'in radio box and discover Gomez please!
Thank the gods for UA-cam automatically creating a "liked videos" list!! I have had the opening notes for this song stuck in my head for weeks but couldn't think of what it was for the life of me. I was scrolling through my list trying to find a completely different song from a while ago and stumbled across this one again in the process 😊
@CarolinaChristie I agree! Probably the most underrated band of all time... I live 15 miles from where these guys come from and hardly anybody from round here has heard of them!
I saw the movie, but I really can't even remember what it was about. I think this song may have also been played during a Grey's Anatomy eposide. Not sure of that either. Point is this: this song is excellent in its own right! One of my favorites in fact and I associate it with nothing.
music is my first love. it's definitely not television. and tv isn't my second, third or fourth. i get so disappointed that people only hear what gets put on tv. i figure if you really love music you spend your time looking for it. whether it be by the internet or spending time in record stores or even sharing with friends.
It's interesting to see a banjo used this way. It is usually quickly strummed, but this more deliberate, and quite intriguing. It lends a bit of very old-time blues to the sound.
"The Hitcher" reunited me with Gomez, and it's good to be here
one of the most underrated bands of all time - such talent and feeling.
2024 anybody out there still watching Grey's Anatomy this is a great song when they operate on Dr Burke love the song💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼❤️
I love Gomez and I was so happy to see it on Grey's Anatomy!!!
This is the best song I have ever heard featuring a banjo.
.... this is a sensational tune. Just discovered Gomez. Never too late. Thanks chaps.
I'm 13 years old, I'm obsessed with this band! My generations music is nothing compared to this.
dudette, you're 13, don't rely on your generation for inspiration, there is more, keep going back in time, this is good but not necessarily unique....
nobody cares
Welcome to real music 😊

Great stuff. I were 27 when I their first album came out and it was like I had faith back in music. Well, nothing lasts forever!

This band is sooooo under rated. Frickin mad tune. So much talent

So glad I found this track. Heard it in their manchester support gig for pearl jam and loved it.
Wonderful! Loved it on Grey's and Love it everyday there after!
This song makes me sad in a good way. Great lyrics, great vocals and a unique sound.
