Sir sorry to intervene , in the beginning u have written the limit of miu(mean) to be -infinity to 0 . But mean can be positive also. I think the limit should be -infinity to +infinity

Can you please tell what's the use of this derivation? We starting with the PDF of the normal distribution in which mean was mu and standard deviation was sigma. We did a whole lot analysis only to get that the mean of the PDF is mu and variance is sigma^2. When we had this initially, why did we do the derivation?

Derivation is useless nobody will ask you to derive Mean formula it's not Physics 😂

To show that the pd function is defined and consistent with what is expected. We do not "know" in the beginning that the variables Mu and Sigma actually are the mean and variance of the given pd function.
