I think the whole concept of Alpha and beta males is redundant for human beings, it was probably meant for animals. People have qualities of an alpha and a beta as well, depending on the situation. Being alpha all the time makes you a jerk, and being beta all the time makes you too timid of a guy.

He and Blake were friends for a very long time before they got together.
Who knows if they had an affair, but Ryan and Scarlet were already getting divorced in 2010 during filming for Green Lantern (it released in 2011) , and Blake/Ryan didn't end up dating until months after its release in 2011 then married in 2012
Blake actually dated DiCaprio after the filming of green lantern, so Ryan and Blake def didn’t date around the time

For anyone who is interested, according to Jungian Analytical Psychology, Ryan is an ENTP and Blake is INTJ by definition, which makes them each others golden pair for natural compatibility. Ryan has Si which makes him appear more introverted, and Se in Blake makes her seem more extraverted, especially Se inferior when it aspires to the subconscious side of the mind. Si inferior is often misinterpreted as being introverted as it need to be comfortable. When Ryan is comfortable, he is much more outgoing. Also as a side note, INTJs have Fe trickster, which makes them believe that they are good people, but inherently they are not very caring, good people, but they make up for it with Se inferior which is all about giving people a good sensory experience for attention and a reaction etc.
There are other successful marriages with this same typology pairing, such as Emily Blunt & John, and Mila Kunis with Aston Kutcher.

Hey Zack! here's a simple explanation for what I'm doing. teaching "alpha vs beta" is doing more harm to men than it is doing good. it's based in anger, bias, conservative values, and insecurity. Also, the teachings that are helpful are basic and don't need to be lumped into being called "Alpha". The rest of its teachings are simply shortsighted or straight up wrong. The whole "alpha" philosophy being taught to men today is just another wave of marketing in hopes to sell an ideology to the inexperienced.
@@AnthonyRecenello i actually agree with that for the most part. the only rebuttal i’d have to that is i think the fundamental principles of being an alpha before you put the red pill bs spin on it is actually not bad at all. i think of you ask the right person who has an open mind and is not blinded by their own insecurities and anger could have really beneficial lessons about being “alpha”. but you are right, more often than not nowadays philosophy about being alpha is shortsighted and oftentimes wrong as well as aimed to people to be ill informed, but based on my thoughts on what a TRUE alpha looks like, it’s actually not bad at all and luckily there are some people who teach it in that manner in which is not rooted in insecurity or anger.

According to them, they have made a deal that when the other one of them is doing a movie, the other one is at home with the kids so that their children will have the attention of at least one parent. Blake has also worked and made very good roles since the kids, but apparently she has wanted to be with her kids now that they are little and Ryan has also been at home with them. Source: multiple podcasts they have been in.
