They were all doing a collab together and brad put on some music that the kid who took his hat thought was put on to make fun of him so then he snatched his hat. He let the kid smack him later on too because he knew it was wrong.
Except it doesn't matter because they're both wrong, the only difference is, the assault happened after the theft. And generally if you end up hurting someone getting back your property that they stole from you, it's generally not something you get pressed for.
I think the bitch slap will stick longer than a punch from a psychological perspective. You can properly feel the anger and the gravity of the action that led up to the slap properly on your face even years later whenever you randomly remembered it.
