35th anniversary of album release: Solitude/Solitaire is the second solo album by former Chicago bassist and vocalist Peter Cetera, and his first album after leaving the band in 1985. It was released on the 23rd of June 1986. It includes the hits "Glory of Love" and "The Next Time I Fall" (with Amy Grant); both reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Everybody remembers these 2 song most, yet today, while reviewing the album, I came across this, the last song on the album, and was totally bowled over. It took me about 6 years after the release of the cassette, (yes that’s the first format that I listened to it on) to hear this track. Some songs seemed like filler on Solitude Solitaire but this sure wasn’t.
That’s what I’ve been doing everyday after I discovered this beautiful song in 2022. I need to hear it at least once everyday! It fills my soul and sends me out into the world each morning!!!
