I have CIDP! I was diagnosed in 1999. Please look into a low carb lifestyle for him. Physical therapy is a must. Please do your research! Your his best advocate.

Yes! Low carb eating lifestyle has settled down my arthritis! Also, use only olive oil or coconut oil. Other oils are inflammatory. No crisco, vegetable oils, canola oil because I will have horrible joint pain.
Jessica, I was diagnosed with CIDP in 2012, as a matter of fact I just got home from my infusion. I know how overwhelming this will get because it's so rare. I would love to answer any questions you both May have. Please just ask! 💖 I feel like God sent me to your channel.

My suspicions were an auto immune issue. Having just been diagnosed with MS, his testing was almost exactly like mine. I am a grown woman and it’s hard for me to accept that I have an incurable disease. As a parent, I can’t imagine the heartache you felt through all of this. I am SO HAPPY this can be treated! You are one hell-of-a Mom! You fought hard for your child, I admire you. Lots of love to you and your family 💜.
I also know exactly how you feel 😞 an incurable disease is just so frightening to deal with daily isn’t it *sigh*
@@AliceSmithVlogs Oh Alice, I just checked out your channel. My heart goes out to you. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it, but Charles Trippy had a brain tumor removed while awake and they let him vlog it. Not sure if you have had your surgery yet. I will pray for you and your family. 💜
It is going to be ok, I’m 62 now. I got CIDP in 1984. I still do everything independently. The Benadryl is important, Landon needs a medi port. It will be so helpful no more iv’s in his hands.

Our family is so grateful for IVIG treatments for our daughters autoimmune disease. I’m glad they can use this as a treatment for Landon too. 💜

My oldest child spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals while growing up. She is 24 yrs old now and hasn't been in a hospital for 9 years. Like you, I fought for her every step of the way. I also struggled to believe the diagnosis/treatment to be absolute. Thankfully it was. I'm sure the Lord knew exactly what He was doing giving you to Landon. He knew what a "warrior" you would be. Like with any "war" there is ptsd. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Jessica you have truly been blessed with an answer so quickly. Landon looked like he had improved at the end of the video. I hope those IVIG treatments do him as much good as they have my sister. She was diagnosed with generalized myasthenia gravis about 10 years ago now. This past week she had a flair up and had to be rushed to the hospital for the 3 day stay for the IVIG. She hadn't had a flare up in about a year. She was so sick when she was first diagnosed. She woke up one morning and could not walk, talk, breathing very labored, etc. It was attacking every muscle. It took her longer and many other meds before one doctor, out of many, they sent her records to, who was close to home, saw her records. He called her himself and told her she needed to be admitted right away or she wasn't going to make it. She started treatment with the IVIG and told the nurse that it felt strange going through her body. Asked the nurse if anyone had ever told her that before? She told my sister they usually can't speak or anything else when they get to the stage of IVIG with MG. So like my sister Landon has found his answer. I hope like my sister as he continues to grow and develop he will have fewer treatments each year. I know mg is not cidp. But the treatments are the same and the diseases come from the same area. Violet, my son is much older when he was diagnosed with the same and has infusion as well. Yes, it takes hours but as time has passed his treatment last longer therefore he goes longer between treatments.
Your baby boy is going to be okay, thank goodness.

Jessica, many hugs and prayers for you all. I’m so thankful you finally have a diagnosis. Knowledge is power, and Landon has one incredible team standing by him. My brother was diagnosed in the late 70’s with JRA, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. He’d had to go to Children’s in Chicago monthly for treatment. He’s now in his 50’s and we’ve talked about those monthly visit and he’s said, “what I remember was nothing much about the treatment, but what my parents would do with him on those days (restaurant, maybe a bakery, a walk on the lakeshore etc) Keep the memories fun and I know Landon will look back and remember just the time with you, the adventures you two two took. Hang in there mama! The guilt you feel is normal. I have a son who had 4 strokes after birth and has a seizure disorder. He nearly died twice when he was 3. Soon after, a friend lost her disabled daughter. I felt so guilty that my son lived. Landon looks so good. You are blessed!

Thanks for sharing the update on Landon's health. I continue to pray for him and the rest of the family. I am thankful that the infusions are making a wonderful difference. We started infusions with our son when he was only 7 months old and we saw the difference it made for him. Our son sat, stood and crawled for the first time after getting the infusion. Before that he would just lay around. The first 48-56 hours after each infusion were the toughest days but so worth it in the long run. He is now a full grown adult and very concerned about the pandemic because he knows it would not be good if he gets it. I am so thankful that Landon is getting the opportunity to restore his health and strength. These moments you are enduring are building memories and special moments. Landon and you will have a special bond for life. Continue to be his advocate and get him whatever help is necessary. Homeschooling him will certainly be a blessing for him at this time.
Nothing greater than a mothers love and the power of prayer. It feels amazing to hear your light in what has been a lot of darkness . So pleased for Landon and the whole family . Hugs from London, England!
I am on IVIG. Extra hydrating before the infusion and slowing my infusion helped drastically with the side effects! Hang in there.

Oh Jessica you are such a strong Mama and sometimes when our babies are diagnosed with anything we learn to live with the diagnosis but we do not have to accept it and that's ok. You have sure giving your 150% for Landon and now you are seeing positive results and just to see his attitude, you should be proud of your little man. Continue listening to your Mom's instincts, nothing is stronger than that, so far you have done an amazing job. Don't forget yourself and Lance in all this, those date nights are important. Also please don't listen to everyone's horror stories, each person is different and live through this differently. Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2021.

My daughter had IGG every 3 weeks for 10 years. It was a miracle, You make sure he gets the Benadryl every time! You need to know everything about his disorder, because you will meet those medical people who want to change rhings up. Don't let them unless you have talked to the Dr. you trust. I always asked God to leadme to someone who needed comfort. I have held moms while they cried, listened to medical stories from Grand mothers, prayed with families and taken people to the cafeteria or rocked a baby so the momcan get a shower and change clothes for the first time in a week. God helped me through those years by showing me other's in need. God will meet your needs in the way that will be best for you
The Lord knew what Landen needed and provided it right away ( those treatments)
even though the doctor's were still trying to figure things out. Praise the Lord!

Please, please don't let anything stop you from writing down the blessings God has provided because those will be so charrished to go back and read (and add more) as time goes on. It's okay to be gentle with yourself. No guilt needed. You are mentally exhausted and time will help refresh you as you see how much better he is doing. As I have had an EMG test myself (8 hours long full body) all I can say Landon you are a trooper, that will give you the courage you will need in the future... you did good bub! I have lived with my chronic illnesses for decades you can do this!

Autoimmune warriors are very special people and there are a lot of us. Physically we are limited, but mentally we are very strong. I have connective tissue disease and I also have severe neuropathy. I’ve been on methotrexate for almost 5 years. The day after my injection I am a mess, but then the day after that I start to feel a little better. I give myself a methotrexate injection every single Friday. With my disease, I will never get “better”, but the MTX does lessen the pain and make it easier to move my joints and I am grateful, even through the “hangover”. Facebook has a few support groups for different autoimmune diseases and different meds. I found a lot of support and information there. I did end up seeing a therapist, because fighting the battle is a lot to deal with and the more support you have, the easier it is to carry on, knowing (in my case) it’s life long. You have done an awesome job of advocating and fighting for your son and when he is older he will know your sacrifice and struggle. May God continue to bless your family and hold you close! It’s so wonderful to see God working to heal Landon and I pray He continues to give you strength. 🙏🏻💚💙

This is by far the BEST news of 2021!! I have to say that Landon has been a trooper through this whole ordeal. He is such a sweet boy and I do attribute that to you and your positive attitude. These auto immune diseases sometimes come out of no where and can wreck havoc on the body. Medicine has come so far in the past several years. I hope his reactions to the infusions get better. Sending continuing prayers for his road to recovery.

I am happy that you got a diagnosis. I think sometimes that helps a lot. I know when my daughter got diagnosed with her incurable lung/heart disease after fighting for fifteen years it was a relief for me because I had been told nothing was wrong, it was in my head etc. because it is an invisible illness. It took a long time to process it and it took a while to see the good in it.... it will be eleven years since her diagnosis next week. While she still lives home as an adult and I handle the administrative aspects of her care (at her request) there is good in it. A lot of things do not change I worry about her every day because I know what could happen but I keep praying that the heart/lung transplant can be pushed as long as possible as the survival rate is not as positive as I would like. My thoughts and prayers remain with Landon and your family.
After all you had to go thru this is the normal process. You had to be so strong for him. Don't be down on yourself. I admire you. Time will heal your heart! Love to your family. God bless!

You have been on an emotional roller coaster . Don’t beat up on yourself. You need to just let everything settle in. You will get to the point where you can breath and soak in the miracle that God gave you through so many prayers that went up for your family.
