Can you tell me about some of the changes from then? There's been changes from when this video was shot, No more Ulster Bank or Philippines Aid, but it's otherwise the same.
@FronteirWolf l was born in northern ireland in the late 1970s and moved to ballymoney in 1994. The little shop on the corner of Church Street used to be called the music box. Down by joey's bar by the bus depot, there used to be a snookerclub called rafters.there was a pub down at the bottom of the main street called craffords. I spent a couple of years training to be a painter and decorator at the technical college just off the Portrush road ,we used to call it simply "the tech." After leaving that, I worked at a poultry place called "flemmings, " when I was 18. I moved to Ballycastle for a few months, then back to ballymoney in 1996. I did a bit of painting on and off until I left the town or should I say "the toon" in January 1998. The last time I was ever in ballymoney was in April 2002 just before my 25th birthday, and that was the last time I was ever in the whole of ireland. I'm 47 now, and I hope whoever you are that you have a more peaceful time in ballymoney and in northern ireland than I have ever been to have had. All the best from London. My name is Aaron mc bride.
@FronteirWolf I was born in 1977 and moved to ballymoney in 1994. The college I had studied in was the northern technical college on the Portrush road, we simply called it " the tech". There I did 2 years IN painting and decorating up until 1996. Then, after that, I was working for a place called Fleming poultry just outside carnany Estate .then I left ballymoney for a few months and returned later that year . I remember a place called Rafters Snooker Club down near the bus station near joeys bar .I also remember getting a minibus from joeys bar on a Saturday evening in the early 1990s down to a place called "tracks nite club" and then going home in the same bus. There used to be a corner shop off Church Street called "the music box." There used to be a bar down at the bottom of main street called "craffords ", I sometimes drank in there. The last time I was in ireland was in April 2002 and that was the last time I was in ballymoney. I hope that this was something you found useful, greetings from Aaron in London.
