In general it's going to be a Rear load, the crush everything against the ejector wall which starts in the back and moves forward slowly has the pressure builds. Because of this, rear load trucks crush everything with close to full force even when they are empty.
Depends on what kind of garbage. Wet garbage or organics a front loader can pack and carry more weight. A rear end loader is great for bulky items. Card board sucks in any truck.
