I worked selling Calvin Klein fragrances in the 90's, I remember spraying on CK One and Escape, CK Be! I got CK One for my birthday and I'm in my 50's. I loved Obsession back in the day! My mom gets many many compliments on her signature fragrance Eternity. I 'm yet to smell Secret Obsession. Escape reminds me a bit of the Ocean! Thanks for the video, brought back memories!
I used Contradiction for the first time in 90’s. It was a gift from a friend. I don’t mind and it’s more for casual. I recently bought it for myself. xx
CKB: Keep it a day in the fridge before wearing (anyway the best way to store fragrances), mix it with a neutral bodylotion and spray a layer of a neutral deodorant (in the Netherlands Odorex extra dry) on your skin before applying the fragrance. It will last a long time!
Ck woman, I wore it to my Dr. Office and my nurses would always know when I was there! They would go smell the room when I left.🤣One nurse bought it and it did not smell the same on her. I even gave her some of mine and it still smelled bad. Thank you, for explaining why it did not smell the same on her.
Calvin Klein was THE brand when I was in high school and I still love this brand! I currently own Eternity Now, Eternity Summer, Endless Euphoria and Women. All great! Truth looks awesome too!
A very nostalgic video! I remember having several Calvin Klein fragrances many years ago. Eternity, Escape, and CK One are the most memorable. After watching your video I purchased Calvin Klein Beauty at TJ Maxx for $19.99 and it’s a very lovely fragrance. 😊

CkBe was my staple through uni and beyond. Unfortunately todays formulation doesn’t last at all, but I remember the old bottles lasting a pretty long time. Such a beautiful perfume.

I lived in Miami since 1994, Calvin Klein & Ralph Lauren where unstoppable brands for literally anything they sold (fragrances, clothes, purses, home decor). Those brands are still very stylish in a classic all American way that everyone in all walks of life and backgrounds can appreciate. I bought the cK1 knockoff scent because is was what I could afford then, and the Calvin Klein style for me was IT. I stock huge bottles of Escape and cK1.
I love this! *everyone* in middle and high school wore CK1 where I was too. I actually purchased another bottle a few months ago. It's nostalgic but also a genuinely good fragrance still.
For me once reveal has warmed up the pepper goes it becomes just "my skin but better" it's so gorgeous. It's amazing how things work so differently for everyone. Perfume is a wonderful thing
Sarah, I have a problem with ribbed textures like that as well. It's the feeling some people get when they hear a school blackboard being scratched. It's a really bad feeling. I often wonder what causes that. Anyhoo, you're the first person I've heard mention you have a similar experience. Btw-Love your reviews!
Yeah..so I just ordered Blind bought escape. You’re good at making me do that. Did it recently when on one of your videos you recommended Queen of Hearts by Queen Latifah. I’d never heard anyone else talk about it. Loved it! Can’t wait to give this one a try.
Well, I received it a few days ago..it’s not like anything else that I have personally. Some people compare it to Elizabeth Ardens Sunflower. It agree it’s along the same line..floral and fresh..nice aquatic note as well. It’s nice in the heat to me.

Aracely Lucio Sheer beauty smells so good!! It smells like an expensive perfume on a magazine cover it’s floral and fruity and is also sweet you should try it!
Calvin Klein has been great at helping modernize the world of fragrance-(especially in the 90's) getting away from the Giorgio Beverly Hills tuberose type scents was refreshing at the time. I was amazed to see Eternity going for $20 recently- it's incredibly beautiful and timeless and unlike anything I had ever smelled before in the 90's. I think that Escape was one of the first aquatics to come out - and it's still pretty to me. CK One is another favorite and was it the first official Unisex scent? I had Calvin Klein Beauty too and really like it- it's apparently a cheaper version of Chanel Allure. Calvin Klein has been a powerful force in perfume. I love CK Be, but you’re totally right it lasts for 30 seconds. I wear it to bed or spray the pillow with it. I wish they’d fix the longevity issue because it’s so beautiful. I wore One and Contradiction in the 90’s.
Obsession was my signature scent for quite some time. During summertime, I really enjoy Euphoria and Deep Euphoria. Escape can be a challenge for me to wear as it is very herbal and green - at least on my skin. I also really love Reveal because of the salty notes. The Calvin Klein perfume that is the longest-lasting on my skin is Obsession and IMHO it is a well-blended perfume too. I really enjoy the Calvin Klein brand - quality brand and inexpensive :-)

I love Euphoria, and on me, Reveal is just magic, especially on hot summer nights! It smells like Paco Rabannes "Olympea", but abit rounder and calmer. The warmth with the saltnote is seriously sooo sexy😍
I love the original Euphoria and Forbidden Euphoria, probably my two Calvin Klein favourites. CKOne reminds me of high school as everyone wore it, except me lol.
My first one is Ck One, very nostalgic. I received Truth and Euphoria as gifts that smelled too old for me that time, so I gave it away. Then I bought Ck All and now wants the Ck EveryOne. Sometimes I like wearing these unisex scents.
I used to wear Contradiction in my 20’s and I used to like it. I don’t remember the smell anymore but if I smelled it again I could pick it out. I remember smelling unique and I liked it. I wouldn’t have liked it if it had smelled like a cleaning product, but we all perceive things differently. It has a metallic smell which is what makes it unique. I need to get my nose on it again.
My husbands favorite brand of cologne and clothing. He bought me some CK dresses. He likes Obsession. I loved Euphoria and Sheer Beauty. I have both Truth the mens and womens. It's very pretty greasy scent .
I was in college when CK One came out, but I remember it being edgy as well. I also LOVED it, and bough the GINORMOUS bottle of it. I still love it. Good stuff :)
Contradiction is one of my favourite fragrances for everyday but it's not for everyone. It's a pretty sophisticated, complex fragrance with a lot of different notes. It's funny that you said "I can't smell the eucalyptus" but also said "it smells like a cleaning product". It's like you totally stumbled upon the eucalyptus with your nose but then refused to recognize it was there. Anyway, obviously fragrances smell different on everyone and I love Contradiction's drydown on my skin. Big fan of Eternity and Escape as well, but I feel like everyone and their dog has worn Eternity in particular 🤣 the association I have for it is with junior high school, so it feels very dated for me although I still like it.
Sarah, same problem here. All of the CK’s don’t last for me. I even tried spraying my clothes etc. I even soaked a cotton ball and put it in my cleavage! Still evaporated. I love Escape and Obsession. My bottle of Obsession is on its way. It’s been 20 years since I’ve had a bottle!
Along with Be, Crave and Obsession, Truth Men was one of my first fragrances ever. Such an easy breezy one to wear. Soft basil, clean cardamom and aquatic woods. That last descriptor sounds strange, but it's really what comes to my mind. CK All is decent, but I heard that Obsessed Intense kicks serious butt. Would love to get your thoughts on that one Sarah!
Yes! I remember when I was in middle school & high school and everyone wore CK. I’ve wanted to try the CK escape & Secret obsession, didn’t want to risk a blind buy. Sounds good though. I had the CK deep euphoria EDT and it’s not the same as the EDP so I gave it to my mom.
I 💜 Euphoria and it has great lasting power and silage. I love the scent of Sheer Beauty, but on me it becomes a skin scent shortly after applying it and I can barely smell it after a few minutes. Such a shame because it’s so lovely.
Sarah I recently got 2 bottles of Truth for 20 dollars each on a discount shelf. I had never smelled it but once I took the first home I realized I should snatch a second one. I guess it’s not what it was originally (are they ever? Why do they have to tamper with perfumes that are amazing?) according to Fragrantica posts but I hear it might be hard to get soon. Can’t find it in stores. It reminds me of standing on a beach after a light rain with grass nearby. So unique and simple yet unforgettable.
My grandma used to always wear Eternity. She was cool, keeping up with the times, looking good and making sure us kids had our hair done, clothes pressed and matching. I hadn't worn it in years, afraid of how it would make me feel now that she's gone. It's now my "signature" everyday fragrance. I get a lot of compliments when wearing it. It lasts a long time too. It's making a come back though, getting hard to find. When I ask about it, they say it's selling out. I'm testing the Euphoria line. It's such a luxurious fragrance but the dry down is too musky for me. Definitely a winter one. Blossom is pretty good too. I absolutely hate Obsession though. I still love the CK1 but my bf and others don't like it sadly so I don't wear it. I remember in high school everybody had to have it. Pretty sure my entire soccer team wore it!😂
You must do a review of Obsession, and Eternity intense. I wore Obsession in the 80s and it was addictive. Recently rebought and still love it. Just tried Eternity intense and it’s one that might make you say “Gosh!”, * esp the dry down. :) * “Gosh!” When you know Sarah Mayes really LOVES a perfume. 😅
Interesting video! I was seeing tons of the CK beauty and sheer beauty perfumes for a while but didn’t know anything about it so I passed it up. I just found the D&G L’imperstrice 3 for $40 for a 3.3 oz I like it. I will wear it this spring and summer. I also found the Jimmy Choo illicit 3.3 oz for $40

Do you like CK One Gold? I love the first spray then it settles so warm and earthy, I think it’s for both men and women. My mom loves Eternity, I always gift it to her. It reminds me of my honey moon with my first marriage so I won’t wear it now. But it is beautiful.

Hi Sarah. I just want to tell you smth about Contradiction . Propably what you are smelling now its not the original formula . I can tell you that for sure. I have smelled this perfume back in 1998 when it was first released. It was a signature of a friend of mine in Greece. It was a ''UNIQUE smell!! I cant forget that smell even after so many years! I remember you could smell Evcaluptus note as a very cold bright fresh smell like a cold metal. Very very unique indeed. She was using it in the summer and the summer in Greece is very hot .It was very nice choice as a fresh summer perfume. Many unique rare perfumes out there do not ecxist any more and its so sad..As it happens with BYZANCE by Rochas you cant find it any more. Contradiction was really a beautiful unusual perfume but now its not even the shadow of it.Now its just a vanilla mess with a hint of flower ... God its a mess. It has nothing to do with the original Contradiction.I have mentioned it before try Black Perals of Liz Taylor. Its a gourmand one and i have seen you like these types of perfume. Its very beautiful .

I have 4 from Calvin Klein. Eternity Now - love it, Eternity Moment - love it, Sheer Beauty - like it and Euphoria Blossom - it's ok. It has a note in it that I hate. I think it's kumquat!!! 😩 But Eternity Intense is next on my list. 🧡

I really like Contradiction. To my nose, it's minty and very unique. No other perfume smells like it.

I recently bought Calvin Klein Beauty and Chanel Allure. These perfumes are both beautiful, but smell nothing alike.
I lov lov "escape" Lol. I have a big bottle myself. 2 sprays that's it. I also have obsession and lov that too. Super longevity for both.

I think Eternity Intense for Women is CK’s best hidden gem... It’s in the ugliest bottle but the scent is so divine it makes my eyes roll back...

I used to wear Obsession & I still love Eternity. My most hated cologne is Escape. A lot of people wore it in the 90's & I didn't like it on anyone.
I used to wear Contradiction in my 20’s and I used to like it. I don’t remember the smell anymore but if I smelled it again I could pick it out. I remember smelling unique and I liked it. I wouldn’t have liked it if it had smelled like a cleaning product, but we all perceive things differently. It has a metallic smell which is what makes it unique. I need to get my nose on it again.
My husbands favorite brand of cologne and clothing. He bought me some CK dresses. He likes Obsession. I loved Euphoria and Sheer Beauty. I have both Truth the mens and womens. It's very pretty greasy scent .

I was in college when CK One came out, but I remember it being edgy as well. I also LOVED it, and bough the GINORMOUS bottle of it. I still love it. Good stuff :)
Contradiction is one of my favourite fragrances for everyday but it's not for everyone. It's a pretty sophisticated, complex fragrance with a lot of different notes. It's funny that you said "I can't smell the eucalyptus" but also said "it smells like a cleaning product". It's like you totally stumbled upon the eucalyptus with your nose but then refused to recognize it was there. Anyway, obviously fragrances smell different on everyone and I love Contradiction's drydown on my skin. Big fan of Eternity and Escape as well, but I feel like everyone and their dog has worn Eternity in particular 🤣 the association I have for it is with junior high school, so it feels very dated for me although I still like it.

Sarah, same problem here. All of the CK’s don’t last for me. I even tried spraying my clothes etc. I even soaked a cotton ball and put it in my cleavage! Still evaporated. I love Escape and Obsession. My bottle of Obsession is on its way. It’s been 20 years since I’ve had a bottle!

Along with Be, Crave and Obsession, Truth Men was one of my first fragrances ever. Such an easy breezy one to wear. Soft basil, clean cardamom and aquatic woods. That last descriptor sounds strange, but it's really what comes to my mind. CK All is decent, but I heard that Obsessed Intense kicks serious butt. Would love to get your thoughts on that one Sarah!
Yes! I remember when I was in middle school & high school and everyone wore CK. I’ve wanted to try the CK escape & Secret obsession, didn’t want to risk a blind buy. Sounds good though.
I had the CK deep euphoria EDT and it’s not the same as the EDP so I gave it to my mom.
I 💜 Euphoria and it has great lasting power and silage. I love the scent of Sheer Beauty, but on me it becomes a skin scent shortly after applying it and I can barely smell it after a few minutes. Such a shame because it’s so lovely.
Sarah I recently got 2 bottles of Truth for 20 dollars each on a discount shelf. I had never smelled it but once I took the first home I realized I should snatch a second one. I guess it’s not what it was originally (are they ever? Why do they have to tamper with perfumes that are amazing?) according to Fragrantica posts but I hear it might be hard to get soon. Can’t find it in stores. It reminds me of standing on a beach after a light rain with grass nearby. So unique and simple yet unforgettable.

My grandma used to always wear Eternity. She was cool, keeping up with the times, looking good and making sure us kids had our hair done, clothes pressed and matching. I hadn't worn it in years, afraid of how it would make me feel now that she's gone. It's now my "signature" everyday fragrance. I get a lot of compliments when wearing it. It lasts a long time too. It's making a come back though, getting hard to find. When I ask about it, they say it's selling out. I'm testing the Euphoria line. It's such a luxurious fragrance but the dry down is too musky for me. Definitely a winter one. Blossom is pretty good too. I absolutely hate Obsession though. I still love the CK1 but my bf and others don't like it sadly so I don't wear it. I remember in high school everybody had to have it. Pretty sure my entire soccer team wore it!😂

You must do a review of Obsession, and Eternity intense. I wore Obsession in the 80s and it was addictive. Recently rebought and still love it. Just tried Eternity intense and it’s one that might make you say “Gosh!”, * esp the dry down. :)

Do you like CK One Gold? I love the first spray then it settles so warm and earthy, I think it’s for both men and women. My mom loves Eternity, I always gift it to her. It reminds me of my honey moon with my first marriage so I won’t wear it now. But it is beautiful.

Hi Sarah. I just want to tell you smth about Contradiction . Propably what you are smelling now its not the original formula . I can tell you that for sure. I have smelled this perfume back in 1998 when it was first released. It was a signature of a friend of mine in Greece. It was a ''UNIQUE smell!! I cant forget that smell even after so many years! I remember you could smell Evcaluptus note as a very cold bright fresh smell like a cold metal. Very very unique indeed. She was using it in the summer and the summer in Greece is very hot .It was very nice choice as a fresh summer perfume. Many unique rare perfumes out there do not ecxist any more and its so sad..As it happens with BYZANCE by Rochas you cant find it any more. Contradiction was really a beautiful unusual perfume but now its not even the shadow of it.Now its just a vanilla mess with a hint of flower ... God its a mess. It has nothing to do with the original Contradiction.I have mentioned it before try Black Perals of Liz Taylor. Its a gourmand one and i have seen you like these types of perfume. Its very beautiful .

I have 4 from Calvin Klein. Eternity Now - love it, Eternity Moment - love it, Sheer Beauty - like it and Euphoria Blossom - it's ok. It has a note in it that I hate. I think it's kumquat!!! 😩 But Eternity Intense is next on my list. 🧡

I have Beauty and Sheer Beauty and Euphoria Amber Gold. I owned Eternity in the 90's but I've forgotten what it smells like. I wore it for a bit before I fell in love with JPG Classique in 98. I see eternity moment at TJ Maxx and I've passed on it so you reaffirmed that was probably a good decision, but you've got me curious about Escape. I see it a lot but I have never smelled it. I love Reveal. But when I first smelled it, I hated it. Then after years I started to love it and bought a 100ml. I am thinking to buy Women, because I liked it on paper. But maybe I will rather try first on my skin.
