This beautiful song by Barry Ssdler makes me appreciate our military men and women and our beloved veterans so much. Thank you all for your service and God bless you
My dad and his brother went into the Army, dad became a mechanic for some colonel and Uncle Phill made the Green Beret, for some reason Uncle Phil gave my dad one of his berets, dad came home, Uncle Phil didn't. Dad still has it, he's 83 now and he made us promise to bury the beret with him, of course we said yes. I love this song, it brings back good memories, Uncle Phil had a convertible and he used to pile my 3 younger brothers and I in it and we'd get ice cream, or to the park. Like many other men and women, Vietnam changed our dad, and not for the good.
Still moves me nearly 60 years later and it was one of the catalysts to my own service. There is no better representative of an intelligent, professional and effective Warrior class.
My father Dave Roberts served with Australian special air service regiment in Swanbourne perth Australia and he was a long distance sniper with the Australian special air service regiment in Swanbourne perth Australia at Campbell barracks in Swanbourne perth Australia
Remembering my hometown hero Sergeant First Class Cecil Joe Hodgson entered the U.S. Army from Texas and served in Detachment B-52, 5th Special Forces Group. He was a member of this reconnaissance team when it was attacked on January 28, 1966, and he went missing on January 29, while attempting to evade enemy forces. He remains unaccounted-for.
They do the hard work. Not everyone can handle it. However, the meaning of their work is not always fair. Someone understands it later, someone never understands it. I am a doctor, Combat Veteran, I served in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Disaster Medicine. From Moscow with love.

My late father was a green beret officer in the Iranian Imperial army. He was trained in some areas by his American counterparts. One of them became my sponsor and let me in his house for a year with his family. That was in 1978. Iran will be free again.
They took over from the french gcma special forces in vietnam training Indigenous Tribes to fight communism However they too failed as The communists had time On their side Whereas some of the french Stayed behind in 1954 the americans left in 1973!
Every male in my family has served. Grandfather WWI, he was a Polish immigrant, my father, tall and lanky and smart, lied about his age on Dec. 8,1941. Joined the US Navy. War ended. All my uncles joined the service, as did every male cousin. When I graduated from Harvard, scholarship, I would have, but only occupational opportunities were nursing. Donald John Trump can raise my taxes any day to support our military, not not to spend , per Senator Rand Paul's results, seeing if gin or rum makes shrimp more aggressive. 600 billion spent on illegals who murder us and 37 are pardoned by the lunatic in chief in the White House. A Gerald Ford class aircraft carrier costs 13 billion. I could have commissioned 20 of those during 4 years and used the remainder to help single moms in Chicago.
Great song. However, in reality a fellow wearing black pajamas and named Charlie was fighting for his homeland and kin folk. All the advance training in Georgia couldn't reverse those facts.
The entire world is in debt with you, thank you for your service.
Thank God for these men. I also respect the men who become warriors of Air Force,Marines, and Navy.
