I’m sure many Americans and international viewers were/are deceived on some level. We may know we are being deceived but knowledge on how specifically, is important.
Joy Reid’s reporting was detailed and clarified the reality. CNN talked about a recent poll that had Trump gaining in black voter support while Biden’s was slipping. Polls are notoriously inaccurate and only a snapshot in time but Trump’s campaign is actively, vigorously trying to deceive voters. Journalists need to do this type of detailed reality checks for viewers/voters to get the accurate picture.
Excellent work, Joy Reid, uncovering yet another false image of the underhanded and deliberately deceitful Republicans is always a hoot, plus I learned a new concept in the crooked Republican playbook. Kept up the excellent and informative work, Joy Reid, and real journalism! We need to remain "woke".

One can honor the requirements of a secular government {Romand 13:1) without embracing all it stands for.
There is a very important question: If we owe Caesar that which bears his name, then we owe God that which bears the image of God. This profound implication points to the creation account, where God created humanity in His own image (Gen 1: 27/ Every human being bears the image of GOD.. In that way, all of humanity belongs to Him,, including ourselves. Jesus' answer makes clear that human beings are responsible not just to give their money to whatever government issues it..but also to give ourselves to the God who made us!!! It is also illegal to have polititians present their platform, etc at a church. The church does have the right to speak to the church body regading issues that defend moral values, freedom of religion, defending the rights of the unborn, the defence for the rights of refugees, opposing racism, etc. And, religious individuals should certainly be allowed to take part in politics. All must be knowledgeable on all of the governments issues relative to one's lives and freedoms or those issues that can be damaging to our lives...our freedom of speech, our rights to gather, freedom of religion, etc..freedom to VOTE!!

There's more to this story: namely, an ongoing lawsuit over control of the church. The church ousted the pastor in January 2020, but he sued claiming his ouster was in violation of the church's bylaws, and in June 2023 a court ordered him reinstated until the suit is resolved. That's how he was able to rent out the church to the Trump campaign without the support of the congregation.

But if we don't vote for senators and congress people, many are dissatisfied with the President's outcome. There's so many people who just don't get it. The 1%ers are the cause of inflation. Malcom X did a speech about people like that “pastor.” I won’t say the name of the speech, but he was talking about people who worked in the fields, as opposed to those who worked in the house. It’s sad that Malcom’s words in that speech, and many others, are still relevant today. We have such a long way to go.
