- In this video we showcase one of the most important men in radio manufacturing history during the 1920's, A. Atwater Kent. He led a remarkable life. I hope you enjoy it.

Imagine having 8500 employees in1929 and turning out over a million radio sets in that year. Those are big numbers.
An interesting story. Thank you . You opened my eyes to how much I didn't know about Atwater Kent
Glad you enjoyed it. I try to find at least one or two things that are not well known about a subject.
Very nice and informative, Dan. Well done!

Thanks so much for this wonderful video.! Did a ton of yard sales and got many old radio sets but no bread boards ! RIP Mr. Finkiener who fixed them all and had blue glowing tubes galore !
Thanks for the positive feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Well done Dan, thank you.
Thanks, Jim. Glad you enjoyed it.
I recently started working for Magmotor Technologies out of Worcester; a DC brushed / brushless motor company. Turns out, Atwater sold a motor design to the parent company of Magmotor: Kendrick & Davis out of Lebanon, NH in the early 1900's. Small world!
That's interesting, thanks for sharing that with the group!
so interesting👍🤓🇺🇸
Glad you liked it. Stay tuned, more to come.
Going by one's middle name is a "thing", A certain Beatle does!
Quits school TWICE, Then ends up on that school's board of directors! 😲My man is THE man, the Myth the LEGEND! 👍👍 That's some Paul Harvey "Rest Of The Story" fodder right there!
I guess he decided to take his own path to the top.
It’s pronounced “woos-ter” (or “woos-tah” if you’re local)
Small point.
Otherwise a nice piece.
Thanks Busterdog! I'll work on my New England accent. When I get good at it, I'll pretend I went to Haarvaard. 😁
