Loving these videos! Finally a pilot in the US who straps one of these on and shows us flight deck operations through a domestic airline. I hope these keep coming! The landing in PHX video was great as well with the taxi into the terminal. It's a view that not many get to see! Also.. In the beginning, in the tone you said "don't be a dick" is probably the best "don't be a dick" I've ever heard. Lol.
From Indonesia. During takeoff starts in 3:17, why Airbus captain says "FLEX" instead "MAN FLEX (then read temperature in Celcius) SRS A/THR BLUE". And in 3:29, the copilot says 80 knots, instead 100 knots on Airbus pilots outside US.
Calling out the FMA is not common at U.S. airlines (they determine the procedures). In this case (US Airways), the pilot flying announces when a new detent is set (TOGA, FLEX, CLB, etc.) and the pilot monitoring confirms that thrust is set to the respective detent (“Climb set,” “TOGA set,” etc.).
They got a left > 090 and a left > 060 after takeoff, so they were flying a northeasterly heading when the video ended. You sure that’s a direction they’d fly to get to PHX?
@@jesse00pno Westbound JFK departures off of 31L are usually routed in the direction seen in this video, then asked to fly north passing JFK on the eastern side before getting a direct to the flight's initial waypoint, which is typically Northwest of NYC.

I noticed you took a sharp turn to the southeast after takeoff where's the destination?
