This series was super hepful! I'm a designer with years of experience but trying to upskill a bit so I understand the code world more. I've been working with VSCode and Github and you did such a great job with explaining the merge, pr, branch, etc elements. Thank you!
This video saved me from the hell I've been in for weeks of losing changes and reverts. Very clear and easy to understand. Now my progress will be effortless with my website(s). Thanks very much for this, subscribed and liked.
Veey useful video and got to know so much knowledge in just a few minutes of this video... Where as in other UA-camr's videos they will explain an hour and end of the video we get nothing!
I saw so many stack overflows and other youtube videos on this but your video is the most straight forward video with multiple solutions for each step. Thanks! I love this video.
Awesome video. I spent more than an hour trying to figure this out through various other articles and videos, and you explained it perfectly. And I'm pretty sure I recognize your voice. Didn't you and your wife run the "How to Expat" channel? You produced great content there as well, so the fact that you're producing great material here shouldn't surprise me. Keep up the good work!
Very Nice explanation. I have question I want create PR against content-add branch. How can I create PR that will merge to content-add branch using git commands ?
Let's say I find a problem after merging. Is there a way to reverse the merge? Could I reverse the master branch to the last commit before the merge and be okay or are there other things to consider?
Fine, but how do I pass my changes from one branch to another? For example: I work in the Add contacts branch and wishes to pass my changes from Add contacts to a new branch called Add data. Add contacts --> Add data.
Came here to learn how to merge and resolve possible conflicts with VS Code as not every company or developer uses GitHub, but most often we all have a choice to use VS Code. Was let down in that regard.
