I love the “To the next generation” add on at the end. It really shows how much Minecraft has grown. Without people like PopularMMos, DanTDM and etc, Minecraft wouldn’t have the community it has today.

Everyone is talking about the next generation end bit, and they should be. But what I find interesting is how the animation goes from TOMMY to the next generation scene. He's the youngest of MCYT - he grew up watching the first generation much as the rest of us did. I really like the symbolism of going from Tommy to the OGs. Makes the heart strings tug just a bit more.

"To the Next Generation" part took me a second to realize that those were the "First Gen" minecraft youtubers and going through the row I saw more and more familiar faces and I teared up seeing Sky and Stampy. They were such a huge part of my younger childhood along with all the others. Thank you for including them at the end to show that they are the reason we have the newer minecraft youtubers who will soon bring the same amount of joy to me that the old minecraft youtubers brought.
Sky and Stampy (along with Pat and Jen) were huge parts of me when growing up. I’m still watching mcyt and i teared up seeing “To The Next Generation” I can’t wait to see what this generation of mcyt can bring us :)
I’m just realizing now how much the MCYT community has changed. I remember growing up watching DanTDM, Thnxcya, Captainsparkles, PopularMMOS, ExplodingTNT, and then as I got older moving on to people like Pink Sheep and Purple Shep, being a devout part of the PGN, and now I’m watching people like Tommy, Dream, Wilbur, Techno, and Niki. And eventually, they’re going to be gone and there will be a new generation. It really does feel like yesterday when I was laughing at Dan, ThinkNoodles, and Thnxcya doing their CrazyCraft pranks, gasping with shock as UA-camrs would get to that plot twist in The Orphanage horror map, getting super excited whenever I would see a new clip of ExplodingTNT’s ‘Weird Comments’ series, or spending hours listening to compilations of different Minecraft parodies of early 2000s music. And now those memories, and those people, have faded away into yesterday’s stories. Some haven’t uploaded in months, some haven’t spoken the word “Minecraft” in months. Some just disappeared. What we really thought was going to last forever was gone in the blink of an eye. We got older, we got more mature, and we grew out of our old obsessions. These happy times became hazy memories. And now we’re back again, still watching people play this wonderful game on UA-cam, but different people, with different stories and different goals. People like the Dream Team, or those participating in Minecraft Monday, or the revolutionaries on the SMP, eventually every single one of them will end up exactly the same as the previous generation. Someday we’ll see their last video, or their last community post about retirement, and laugh and cry as they play and have fun on their worlds for the last time. Or maybe, maybe we’ll just forget about them entirely, and move on with our lives. Because while the new generation comes, the only thing I’ve learned, or that we’ve learned, is that what seems like everything right now, won’t last forever. The people I used to watch are gone, and I’m not a child anymore, almost none of us are. We can have the cherished memories we got from our time all those years ago, but in the end, those memories will be all that remain. Time really does fly when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?
ugh im crying, to think we could see tommy or dream or wilbur's last video or stream without even knowing it. ive been watching them for months and it feels like only days have passed. when i was stressed out over work i just watched one of their videos or streams and i became almost instantly happy. its sad that one day they'll stop recording and this generation of mcyts will come to an end
It hit hard all those memories of watching popularmmos, dantdm or skydoesminecraft when I was kid really came back to me and you soon realise how much time has gone by

Everything stated here is 100% accurate and it’s been such a please to grow up with the old generation, see them move on, and have another one come by so young and filled with as much passion as the last. I sincerely hope they stay around for a very long time and continue to enjoy doing what they do♥️
this video has suddenly made me realize why i love the mcyt fandom: everyone feels close. most of us fondly remember the old days of mcyt. and in this new generation, all the content creators are connected in some way. they all have their groups & participate in events together; chances are, your mc faves have talked to each other or participated in some event together before. even those that you don't personally watch are people you feel you know anyway, because you've seen them on other cc's streams. it just feels like such a small, tight-knit community, while at the same time being this massive online empire that so many people follow. it's kind of special in that way.
This is exactly the community in a nutshell, thank you for writing this. I love everyone in the MCYT community and I am proud to say that this place has and always will be my safe haven. Even though time may pass I never will forget all the amazing people who made my childhood and all the people who supported them with me.
i must agree! look at people like the hermitcraft community, they all just hang out and build together, and while you may mainly watch grian and mumbo, you know iskall as the swedish pirate who joins mumbo every now and then in his mustached mayhem. or you may know good times with scar because of how many antics hes gotten in with grian, it just all makes you feel like you know them as well even if you never watched them lol

The days of when we looked out towards the vast planes and saw the idols of our generation be replaced with theirs? The nostalgic memories of these youtubers. We've already reached the second generation of minecraft youtubers, so what comes next? We might see several generations of minecraft youtubers come and go, all of them bringing a huge impact upon our lives. Our children will have their age's youtubers, but we had ours as well. We had those youtubers that brought the youth we know today. They gave us the childhood we had, and they've impacted us more than we could ever imagine. This is very deep. Gave me chills the same way SADist's animatic did. There's just that feeling of love and childish thoughts when the ending was shown... I saw all the MC youtubers I looked up to back then. Before we had Dantdm, PoupularMMOs, Stampy(though he still makes wholesome content), TeamCrafted, now we have the Dream Team, l'manburgians, Sleepy Bois Inc., The Hermits... I love how simple minecraft is that it created such a huge community.

All of them were apart of growing up for me and I never thought I would move on. Then I left the minecraft community for so long, just came back a few months ago and the nostalgia hit me like a brick. All these new creators a some faces I was familiar with and watched when I was younger. Seeing all these creators move on and go off into the world feels sad but good. We really honestly never knew we were making memories untill they stopped... But really we all hope for the best for the past, future, and present minecraft creators of this platform and so many others. And thank you guys for my childhood.
So many under appreciated creators in here ;-; The majority of the hermits are so often overlooked in favor of more popular creators but are still such a big part of the Minecraft community thank you for including them.
imagine , its 20 years later: Minecraft is still alive. Updates are crazy and people seems to still like em. Theyre more ccs and you watch your kids watching the new gens of mcyt. There you see yourself, as a child- just like them. Going emotional over a damn minecraft roleplay, cheering them like its a god damn world cup and adoring them like their own family. The childhood memories hit you, you decide to show off the old gens to your child you open (your favourite mcyt vid from first gen to current) , the voices of the players hit you hard. your child ask, " who are they? " "they are my childhood"
The feeling I'm feeling right now is beyond describable. The ending, the animation. All of it is pure beauty. Thank you for giving this to our world!!! Edit: The end frame of "to the next generation". Gave so much nostalgia. Stampy, Pat, Jen, Bajan, etc.. The animation (mostly) featured the newer MCYTuber. And them paving the way for the new. Shows that the MC community wouldn't be what they are with out the old heroes. They're channel might not be as active as they once where, but you can't deny they made history on UA-cam gaming. And the ending being Tommy fits so damn well. Cause it shows that no matter your age, you can be who you want to be. And once this MCYT generation flies away, it will, most likely, be Tommy's job to lead the new generation of MCYTubers, being the youngest. (I'm about to write a whole essay about this master piece.)
And is it kinda wrong that I wanna be famous too? I dunno, just... me and Tommy leading the next Gen of MCYTs would be my life's goal. I mean, we're the same age, might as well, right? Oh god the to the next generation hurts- I never really realized how fast i was growing up until i got back into minecraft, because so much has changed. In 2016-2018, popularmmos, dan and jen filled my recommended but they barely do anymore. If im being honest im scared of growing up, but for some reason this makes me not afraid

I'm 25. I remember captain sparkles, antvenom, and the yogscast. The chat is full of people being nostalgic for people I don't recognize, and now there's a THIRD generation of youtubers that is the new blood. This game has GENERATIONS of cultural influence that each have their own memes and influencers. That's beautiful.
The wave of nostalgia that smacked me when the “To the next generation” hit, was so intense. Popularmmos and gaming with Jen gave me so many happy memories, sad ones too now that they’ve split up... Dan, Stampy and captain sparkles also hit me like a nostalgic train. I love the new generation of MC UA-camrs but I’ll never forget the old ones!! 😭💖💖

It may not happen. We still have people in the old generation who do very well. (Captain sparkles for example) and while it’s not shown here, Etho and Mumbo started in the old generation and are blowing up more nowadays.

“To the next generation” hits so hard because I used to watch Dantdm and stampy a lot when I was younger and now I *starts crying* now I’m an adult and I still love Minecraft and youtubers who still play it as their main content, but the fact that I grew up with those old creators and they just subtly passed me along to the next leaders of the newer breed of Minecraft content creators, without me realizing, so I could continue to love the game without having to miss them hurts me down to my soul. I never truly realized the impact they all had on me personally. I had always struggled mentally, as I have depression, anxiety, and I have ADHD, I struggled a lot with my own personal mental baggage, but every time I heard their voices it made me feel like I belonged somewhere, and that I wasn’t the odd man out for once. As years went by, I slowly had to hide the fact that I liked Minecraft because everyone around me thought it was silly and dumb, so I was away from my people for a very long time. When I returned, I didn’t even realize that I had moved with the next generation until I heard about Dantdm and his baby, but I have moved to follow people like Dream, Skeppy, and Technoblade. Back in the community I love and where I feel the most welcome to be who I am. And it hurts that I had left the old creators behind, but it was time to keep moving forward. I am tired so ignore this if you don’t care lol.

I didn't get the "To the next generation" at first until I saw Pat and Jen, it made me pretty emotional because these guys raised a lot of the mcyter community, it's sad seeing them go, but then again they get older as life goes on
“The Next Generation” I just got emotional. Like, I’m not joking or anything, Minecraft has been a big part of my childhood, and ive been watching Minecraft youtubers since I was 5, that really hit hard, I think I just shed a tear... but we have to move on..
This made me have weird feelings in my stomach, so is this what nostalgia feels like? Everything was amazing, everything went full circle, but it hurt “the next generation “ part, it hurt a lot, I was so young, and seeing all those older mcyt people made me... just...AUGH! This reminds of me being a young kid. Having Minecraft being the main staple in my life is probably why this feeling makes me hurt. Most of the older youtubers moved on sort of and it hurts seeing them all together.

Everyday, I watch youtubers. I'm pretty sure everyone does at this point. Lets see... Maybe you're a Jacksepticye, Markiplier or Pewdipie fan. Maybe you're more into Aphmau, Slyfox and maybe Stampy Cat. Or are you an LDShadowlady and Smallishbeans fan? Maybe you're into Dream and Techno. Maybe you're a Gatchaber fan. An art fan. An asmr fan. We are fans of these people, but have you ever stopped to realize that.. They aren't permanent? As we grow up with them by our hearts, they grow older. They won't post these videos we enjoy so much one day. One day, we'll wake up and find that "Goodbye UA-cam" or "Retiring" video they post. We'll cry as they do their last outro and we'll cry as we think about it. Because these people- Their videos to us are more than just that. These are memories. These were our moral support when nobody else could help us. Our happiness in our darkest hours. They may never upload again, but you should remember that they will always stand in our hearts. The memories, the happiness, and the things we learned along the way-- The friends we made along the way. These are thanks to them. Not just youtubers. Teachers, moral compasses, idols, popstars, everyone you look up to... They'll stop one day. We won't ever see them again. All we'll have left are flashes of joy. Don't let that joy make you feel sad. These things-- The pain-- its not "Regrets" its "lessons". Learn from it. Grow from them. Repay them for everything they've taught you... By being the best "You" you can be. Smile. And for now, enjoy what they give us. Don't take for granted what you have, because that's what makes our lives special. So short, yet so meaningful. The fact that I was already in tears before I read this, then after I read this my heart is also crying-- As much as I don't want to move on from my childhood, the MCYT community has helped me get through a lot of negative events in my life, and just other YT content creators too. The fact that their videos will be the many signs that they existed when they pass away is disheartening, but they lived their best life and made our lives better, without knowing who we really are but we know who they are. So, to the person that also saw this comment, don't let the past or the future scare you because they're unpredictable, enjoy the present! :')
Yeah, this made me cry. MC has helped me a lot to escape stress and just relax. And it is depressing that one day minecraft will get it's last update, and that one day my favourite youtubers will upload their last vidoes. But we need to stay strong, these are our memories and new people will arrive, and we will make new memories.
I’m actually very new to Minecraft you tubers the only ones I know is sapnap, GeorgeNotFound, Dream, badboyhalo, and that’s pretty much it so I guess these are the you tubers I’m gonna grow up with because I literally just turned 13 on September 6 can’t wait to see all the content they’ll make over the years😁✨

Everyone is talking about the next generation end bit, and they should be. But what I find interesting is how the animation goes from TOMMY to the next generation scene. He's the youngest of MCYT - he grew up watching the first generation much as the rest of us did. I really like the symbolism of going from Tommy to the OGs. Makes the heart strings tug just a bit more.

"To the Next Generation" part took me a second to realize that those were the "First Gen" minecraft youtubers and going through the row I saw more and more familiar faces and I teared up seeing Sky and Stampy. They were such a huge part of my younger childhood along with all the others. Thank you for including them at the end to show that they are the reason we have the newer minecraft youtubers who will soon bring the same amount of joy to me that the old minecraft youtubers brought.

I full on started crying when i saw the next generation part, just puts me in tears remembering those times.
Sky and Stampy (along with Pat and Jen) were huge parts of me when growing up. I’m still watching mcyt and i teared up seeing “To The Next Generation” I can’t wait to see what this generation of mcyt can bring us :)
I’m just realizing now how much the MCYT community has changed. I remember growing up watching DanTDM, Thnxcya, Captainsparkles, PopularMMOS, ExplodingTNT, and then as I got older moving on to people like Pink Sheep and Purple Shep, being a devout part of the PGN, and now I’m watching people like Tommy, Dream, Wilbur, Techno, and Niki. And eventually, they’re going to be gone and there will be a new generation.
It really does feel like yesterday when I was laughing at Dan, ThinkNoodles, and Thnxcya doing their CrazyCraft pranks, gasping with shock as UA-camrs would get to that plot twist in The Orphanage horror map, getting super excited whenever I would see a new clip of ExplodingTNT’s ‘Weird Comments’ series, or spending hours listening to compilations of different Minecraft parodies of early 2000s music. And now those memories, and those people, have faded away into yesterday’s stories. Some haven’t uploaded in months, some haven’t spoken the word “Minecraft” in months. Some just disappeared. What we really thought was going to last forever was gone in the blink of an eye. We got older, we got more mature, and we grew out of our old obsessions. These happy times became hazy memories.
And now we’re back again, still watching people play this wonderful game on UA-cam, but different people, with different stories and different goals. People like the Dream Team, or those participating in Minecraft Monday, or the revolutionaries on the SMP, eventually every single one of them will end up exactly the same as the previous generation. Someday we’ll see their last video, or their last community post about retirement, and laugh and cry as they play and have fun on their worlds for the last time. Or maybe, maybe we’ll just forget about them entirely, and move on with our lives. Because while the new generation comes, the only thing I’ve learned, or that we’ve learned, is that what seems like everything right now, won’t last forever. The people I used to watch are gone, and I’m not a child anymore, almost none of us are. We can have the cherished memories we got from our time all those years ago, but in the end, those memories will be all that remain.

this video has suddenly made me realize why i love the mcyt fandom: everyone feels close. most of us fondly remember the old days of mcyt. and in this new generation, all the content creators are connected in some way. they all have their groups & participate in events together; chances are, your mc faves have talked to each other or participated in some event together before. even those that you don't personally watch are people you feel you know anyway, because you've seen them on other cc's streams.
it just feels like such a small, tight-knit community, while at the same time being this massive online empire that so many people follow. it's kind of special in that way.
This is exactly the community in a nutshell, thank you for writing this. I love everyone in the MCYT community and I am proud to say that this place has and always will be my safe haven. This is very deep. Gave me chills the same way SADist's animatic did. There's just that feeling of love and childish thoughts when the ending was shown... I saw all the MC youtubers I looked up to back then. Before we had Dantdm, PoupularMMOs, Stampy(though he still makes wholesome content), TeamCrafted, now we have the Dream Team, l'manburgians, Sleepy Bois Inc., The Hermits... I love how simple minecraft is that it created such a huge community.

"to the next generation" that made me cry, and I don't cry about a lot of things... PopularMMOS, Stampy, SkyDoesMincraft, thedimondmincart. All of them were apart of growing up for me and I never thought I would move on. Then I left the minecraft community for so long, just came back a few months ago and the nostalgia hit me like a brick. All these new creators a some faces I was familiar with and watched when I was younger. Seeing all these creators move on and go off into the world feels sad but good. We really honestly never knew we were making memories untill they stopped... But really we all hope for the best for the past, future, and present minecraft creators of this platform and so many others. And thank you guys for my childhood.

The animation (mostly) featured the newer MCYTuber.
And them paving the way for the new. Shows that the MC community wouldn't be what they are with out the old heroes. They're channel might not be as active as they once where, but you can't deny they made history on UA-cam gaming.
And the ending being Tommy fits so damn well. Cause it shows that no matter your age, you can be who you want to be. And once this MCYT generation flies away, it will, most likely, be Tommy's job to lead the new generation of MCYTubers, being the youngest.

It may not happen. We still have people in the old generation who do very well. (Captain sparkles for example) and while it’s not shown here, Etho and Mumbo started in the old generation and are blowing up more nowadays.

I'm still a child, I'm not even a teenager yet but reading the comments I realised that soon I'll be older. My favourite youtubers won't upload anymore. The lmanburg war will just be old history. I've always known this but the comments really made it hit me. All I want to say is enjoy your childhood, whatever is happening in life you'll get though it

“To the next generation” hits so hard because I used to watch Dantdm and stampy a lot when I was younger and now I *starts crying* now I’m an adult and I still love Minecraft and youtubers who still play it as their main content, but the fact that I grew up with those old creators and they just subtly passed me along to the next leaders of the newer breed of Minecraft content creators, without me realizing, so I could continue to love the game without having to miss them hurts me down to my soul.
I never truly realized the impact they all had on me personally.
I had always struggled mentally, as I have depression, anxiety, and I have ADHD, I struggled a lot with my own personal mental baggage, but every time I heard their voices it made me feel like I belonged somewhere, and that I wasn’t the odd man out for once. As years went by, I slowly had to hide the fact that I liked Minecraft because everyone around me thought it was silly and dumb, so I was away from my people for a very long time. When I returned, I didn’t even realize that I had moved with the next generation until I heard about Dantdm and his baby, but I have moved to follow people like Dream, Skeppy, and Technoblade. Back in the community I love and where I feel the most welcome to be who I am. And it hurts that I had left the old creators behind, but it was time to keep moving forward.

I grew up with stampy, and I'll never forget him. He helped me further become an artist, as I made little drawings of him and his friends all the time, I loved watching him play his minigames, and the stories that he created aswell. And for that, I am forever thankful

seeing technoblade in this hits hard.
Everyday, I watch youtubers. I'm pretty sure everyone does at this point. Lets see... Maybe you're a Jacksepticye, Markiplier or Pewdipie fan. Maybe you're more into Aphmau, Slyfox and maybe Stampy Cat. Or are you an LDShadowlady and Smallishbeans fan? Maybe you're into Dream and Techno. Maybe you're a Gatchaber fan. An art fan. An asmr fan.
We are fans of these people, but have you ever stopped to realize that.. They aren't permanent? As we grow up with them by our hearts, they grow older. They won't post these videos we enjoy so much one day.
One day, we'll wake up and find that "Goodbye UA-cam" or "Retiring" video they post. We'll cry as they do their last outro and we'll cry as we think about it.
Because these people- Their videos to us are more than just that. These are memories. These were our moral support when nobody else could help us. Our happiness in our darkest hours.
They may never upload again, but you should remember that they will always stand in our hearts. The memories, the happiness, and the things we learned along the way-- The friends we made along the way. These are thanks to them.
Not just youtubers. Teachers, moral compasses, idols, popstars, everyone you look up to... They'll stop one day. We won't ever see them again. All we'll have left are flashes of joy.
Don't let that joy make you feel sad. These things-- The pain-- its not "Regrets" its "lessons". Learn from it. Grow from them. Repay them for everything they've taught you... By being the best "You" you can be.

As much as I don't want to move on from my childhood, the MCYT community has helped me get through a lot of negative events in my life, and just other YT content creators too.
The fact that their videos will be the many signs that they existed when they pass away is disheartening, but they lived their best life and made our lives better, without knowing who we really are but we know who they are.
So, to the person that also saw this comment, don't let the past or the future scare you because they're unpredictable, enjoy the present! :')
Yeah, this made me cry. MC has helped me a lot to escape stress and just relax. And it is depressing that one day minecraft will get it's last update, and that one day my favourite youtubers will upload their last vidoes. But we need to stay strong, these are our memories and new people will arrive, and we will make new memories.
I'm just enjoying the ride while I can. They won't upload forever, and I won't be a kid forever either. But right now, I'm having the time of my life.
