Bay Pines Staff Hold Surprise Commencement Ceremony for Marine Corps Veteran

U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Nicole Bales, a patient in the Infusion Therapy Clinic at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center, recently completed her Marine Biology degree from the University of Tampa. Due to COVID-19, the university decided not to host an in-person graduation ceremony this year. Clinic nurses discovered that Bales was unable to celebrate this milestone and hosted their own special ceremony for Bales at the medical center. This is only one of the many examples of how VA staff pay tribute and honor America's Veterans each and every day at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System.
