Also its thought of by one developer who's passionate and honest about his game. Like what do you want more. Thank you Greg for this game and your persistance over the years. Today is a great day 🤩

Manor Lords Review: An Engaging Medieval Masterpiece After immersing myself in Manor Lords for a solid 48 hours, I can confidently say that this game is nothing short of a masterpiece in the making. As someone who has been eagerly anticipating the release of a truly authentic medieval city-building and strategy game, Manor Lords has exceeded every expectation I had-and then some. The first thing that struck me was the sheer attention to detail. The developers have crafted an environment that feels genuinely alive, with a level of realism that pulls you right into the heart of the medieval era. From the intricate design of the buildings to the dynamic seasons and weather, every element contributes to an experience that’s both visually stunning and deeply immersive. But Manor Lords isn’t just about looks. The gameplay is incredibly engaging, blending city-building with strategic warfare in a way that feels both challenging and rewarding. Managing your settlements, ensuring your citizens’ needs are met, and planning your military defenses are all crucial aspects that demand careful thought and strategy. The sense of progression and achievement as your manor grows and thrives is immensely satisfying. One of the most impressive features of Manor Lords is the freedom it gives you. Whether you’re focused on building a flourishing economy or leading your armies into battle, the game adapts to your playstyle, allowing for endless possibilities and replayability. This flexibility is what keeps me coming back for more, eager to explore different strategies and outcomes. And let’s talk about the battles-wow! The tactical depth here is astonishing. The real-time strategy elements are well-balanced, requiring you to think on your feet and make quick decisions in the heat of battle. Every victory feels hard-earned, and every defeat serves as a lesson in the art of warfare. I’m genuinely excited about the future of Manor Lords. The developers have laid a strong foundation, and I can’t wait to see how they build on it with new content and features. There’s so much potential here, and I’m confident that the game will only get better with time. If you’re a fan of city-building, strategy, or medieval history, Manor Lords is an absolute must-play. It’s one of those rare games that completely absorbs you, making you lose track of time as you become lost in its world. I highly recommend picking it up-you won’t be disappointed!
Amazing job with the game. I can't have enough of it. So you should add cows, pigs, and ducks. Plus, cats and dogs for dealing with a new pest system (rats that cause disease and eat crops, foxes, and wolves who eat eggs and livestock. And more decorations plus more professions and buildings like bailiffs, dungeons, physicians and apothecary, sausage makers, and butcher shops. Preferably a more fleshed out noblity and walls and towers and things like stables, training yards, and things like that to make a truly awesome medieval city
For food production gillnetting is far more efficient than rod fishing, they used to take a thick ten meter long minimum pole (or sapling tree) attach a net and leave in the water, gather what was caught in the morning. You can stretch a gillnet all the way across a river.
Thank you for making just one of the best games I’ve played in a really really long time. I’ve been searching for a strat game that can really scratch my niche itch, and this one did just that.
Please please please get this to consoles soon, I get its being made by a solo dev but please I can’t wait! This is literally my DREAM GAME but it’s only on PC currently 😭. I really don’t want to forget about it because it hasn’t come out in 5 months. Does anyone have any news on when it might come out??? Pleaseeeee this is soooo epic!
Putting the following onto discord also, but some feed-back and suggestions after playing the game about a week: Finer snap points for building burgages. Use the build display progress clock for month progress, leave in the same place, put a little number showing day, use 30 days standard month: “Day ##”. Have this now in the raiders coming countdown some. Artisans that are available and not working, when on pause go to the labor and get a hammer symbol beside the grayed out product symbol in TAB. I think you let artisans switch, just like switching ability at chickens-veggies-goats, but with longer refit time, and the artisans can’t do anything and are the labor for the switch, and the refit time is longer. A lot of good things could be put into the game using what’s already there - benefit would be probably easier to implement AND players would already be more familiar with changes: More screen bottom buttons within buttons at screen bottom. A main button for TAB info. A main button for Markets - what we get now clicking on market, with menu choice for food, clothes, fuel. AND IS suggestions. A main button for overlays menu, BUT leave overlays in the build button. A main button each for development points-policies-production: these can stay at top, but bottom gets access individually. Production button gets manage priorities, targets. Buttons in Rez build button to pick single or duplex burgage. In TAB. Add the product symbol next to the white gearbox to show what’s being made. On burgages add in product symbol for bkyard extension, if artisan they gray if paused, white if active. Alerts. Use ?Flag for “no resources for logging/firewood” for idle laborers. Use the storage full flag color with the product symbol to indicate production targets dn. Have a go to button on alerts - like Pharaoh. Other. Longer fields for names. Alphabetize the help menu. List the food in order of its consumption per TactiCat’s findings - at Market button or on-map click. Meat, Berries, Bread, Eggs, Veggies, Honey, Apples. That’s a must watch video: ua-cam.com/video/P9puc7V6Cv4/v-deo.html With Manor Lords, We need Data Lords like him and Strat. Saying it again - a drum I’ve been banging repeatedly - Trade Perk 1 and 2: Change the flat cap on trade route opening to a separate difficulty specific setting for discount% off of base price: Leaves the value system in place, but opens this up to mass crowd testing. Change the flat drop 10 cost to a discount% off import cost, ADD a smaller fixed benefit% to selling price, same idea as opening trade routes. On trade in general - the market high-low demand is great, but add in a real penalty for oversaturation: like a whole year where the product type won’t sell at all. If it isn’t now, make sure the time duration for low demand is parabolic - taking it longer to recover the deeper you keep selling low demand. The same lack of access could be in effect at some point if you continue purchasing something at a higher price - also parabolic per above. These things might need to be done after testing out the new Trade Perk 1 & 2 above - could definitely affect base cost for opening trade routes, or shut them down if you go to far either way.
Love the game very glad I got it at first I was like this is too hard and thought I was going to end up refunding it but I’ve gotten the hang of it but I think it would be really cool if there were ships that the settlers came on and if there was an evolution type of thing or like advancements to get to muskets since the game theme still fits muskets especially the building styles it would be so cool to see walls and muskets
I'm so glad the dev clarified what this game is and isn't before early access released. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be in the game. Gotta delve into all the romance options and alternate history paths while conquering the whole of Europe.
What romance options? It's a city builder. And the map's like the size of a small barony. It's not even expansive enough to qualify as alt history, more like a historical simulation or historical fiction. He's made all that clear for months now.
Make it online, it might be more interesting to play with a friend to burn each other's villages, otherwise it's very boring. I went to the game for 4 hours, collected 100k coins and completely captured the entire earth
How big is this studio ? This looks amazing, too much building sim for my taste, but maybe in the future there will be some kind of War DLC to bring the fights on a biggers scale, managing a kingdom with several cityes, hope to see that.
