Darius is broken af but he usually gets banned in ranked

depends on what time of role you feel better playing for your team. As Darius you're more typically the one running at their team trying to get a pull or split pushing waiting to TP behind them for a catch. As Jayce your siege is good because of your poke and you'll be needed to group a lot more with your team. You'll also need harder peel if they have hard engage/cc, because you're seen as more of a carry and a higher priority target. It depends on what playstyle you have and what you feel you are comfortable relying on your solo que team for. Did that help at all?

law play both situationally, need a bruiser with decent utility? go darius. if you need damage and dont lack some sort of tank for the game go jayce. You don't need to only play 1

High ELO Darius is incredibly difficult to pull off. People know how to counter you, they'll cc you and kite you for days. They'll also prolly camp you and make you useless.
Jayce is more consistent and has a more reliable teamfight + siege potential. He also splits just fine when needed. Darius is so reliant on getting his passive and an ultimate reset in a teamfight, sometimes that just doesn't happen. The higher you get the more denied you get as Darius. Imo play more Jayce.
