How do you make the Bass and Kick not clash and sound separated so good? I dont mean the sub / very low bass Frequencies, im having huge problems making kick and bass sounding good and clean together.
Sound selection is my main mixing tip. With a good kick (a lot of mid presence) and a good bass sound (I like to use serum). I always use two layers for my bass. My first bass layer i high pass at 130hz, since the mid and high frequencies carry most of the transient, and audible characteristics to the bass. Under that I use a simple sub bass that follows the other basses notes. My kick is usually turned at -6/5 db, right above the bass level, and sidechained to both layers of the bass. You should get a similar result if you’re able to follow this absolute mess of a tip. Try using “big kick” for making/using kicks.
Thank you for the Tip will try it! But another question, how do you make the bass punchier and slap hard without it clipping? My kick is always so dominant but bass lacks power :(@@deastt
@@bartolino980try using transient processing maybe to add more attack, or just give it more mids/highs. The low end is usually felt, but what you can really hear and makes a sound punchy/present is the highs and mids

What a way of start this year with a beat of yours! I love it, another good one!

@@bartolino980use saturation also and I never let my bass go past -6db
You should also always sidechain your kick with your bass. Allows for the kick to breathe in the mix. Good luck!
