The most masterful and superlative band of the "prog rock" era. VDGG combine their Gothic, interwoven complex rhythms and time signatures, with an unbelievable live jazz-like ability to play off each other's instinct to run with the moment. Hammill's lyrics are always intelligent and pushing the listeners boundaries to interpret and commit to the song. I saw the reformed band in Manchester, on their comeback tour, and then later as a threesome, in Cambridge. Both gigs were truly memorable and a highlight of my many years of attending gigs, throughout the decades. It's a shame that David Jackson had his differences with the band, because I feel deprived of the true essence of VDGG's unique front line sound - but wonderful, just wonderful music, that is still as innovative today, as it ever was.
Awesome piece, that´s right my friend, I don´t think it is Cha, cha, cha, seems like a Brazilian rythm, anyway its incredible to find this part of the piece, no doubt about it enhance the piece and provide diversity; it´s a introduction to the explosion of that hypnotic rithm that follows. Brilliant thanks for sharing.
