Love the idea of the clothes pin game. You could also write the Scout Law out on 12 pins. The first one to collect all 12 wins. Keep up the good work and make it fun. YIS⚜️
Under lock and key Play the thief and evade the guard in this group game. Activity Outcomes Problem solve Develop skills Find it easier to understand challenges, consider your options, and find solutions. Activity Details 30 mins You will need * Scarves (such as neckers) * Torch or phone * Bike lock with keys The aim of the game To unlock the padlock located underneath the blindfolded guard’s chair, without being caught by the searchlight. How to play 1. Set a chair in the middle of the meeting space, and underneath it, place a locked padlock or bike lock, and its key. 2. Dim the lights. 3. Ask one player to sit on the chair. Blindfold them and place a torch in their hand. They’ll act as the guard. If a torch is unavailable, the guard can also point at the rest of the players/thieves. 4. Get the thieves to surround the guard and from a distance approach in silence, working hard not to make any noise. Their aim is to unlock the padlock without being noticed. 5. If a guard shines his light on any of the players, that player has to go back to the start. Make sure the guard keeps moving the torch around and shines it towards wherever they hear noise. 6. If a player reaches the lock and unlocks it, they become the guard. This game can continue for a while, so a time limit could be useful. 7. When the time is up, the person leading the game can gather everyone together and talk about the importance of padlocks, to keep your bicycle safe if you leave it unattended.
We call that "Granny's House" for some reason 🤣 they point and say bang. The attackers have obsitcals they can use as cover and have to get a set of keys from underneath the chair
COPE tag sounds like a game we had at a camp I attended and was on staff at. (Camp Rotary, Clare, MI). It likely wouldn't be allow now, but a popcicle stick with a girl "Susie" was drawn on it. At Sunday dinner Susie was given out and then as part of the meal program throughout the week Scouts who had Susie would be call up and pick a token, which had then do a song, tell a story, or maybe get a free ice cream at the TP. There was also a song song when Scouts were called up.

Do you think you can do a video on keeping your kid interested in scouts? One of my big regrets in life is dropping out. My kid is crossing over from cubs in a few weeks
My son just joined our local troop. He is so excited. He is 10, in 4th grade homeschooling. I'm hoping to ensure the same thing. He absolutely loved his first two meetings, and our first camp trip is in 2 weeks. Hopefully He keeps up the enthusiasm, and sticks with it. I was a scout, but my troop was rather unorganized, and not overly active in the organization, as far as getting Merritt badges, bsa sponsored trip, and what not. We mostly met weekly, and did what we could at the church. I'm trying to figure out how I can help, I'll be attending the committee meeting this week and see where I fit in.
Usually once a Scout gets clipped, they remove the clip and try to get someone else. There is no real winner or end game, just the fun of trying to sneak a clip onto someone.
What are some of your go to ways to keep scouts entertained at camp?

Fun game with a relatable message at the end. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I'll start putting some ideas down and see what I can do.

Do you sell your turtle and shark clips?
If you get clipped, do you then have to keep it on? The idea being that you can't be clipped if you are noticing them doing it? I like this concept.
