Surprised to see the big CC have a bow that slopes DOWN, not up a bit. Yeah, I know they can slope up--too much, but to slope down? Looks like it can bury the nose in moderate chop, is there some reason for that design that I'm missing?
This is the second video I have watched on this channel, what is wrong with some of these captains,The Cobia, and the 65 HCB idling out of a rough inlet?
I LMAO when I see boats that are designed to haul ass through rough chop, and all they do is pussy-foot their way threw it, and get the crap beat out of them. Then, typically a much smaller one comes through and dominates. Just kills me
I'm no nautical engineer, but 5 outboards on a 65' boat just seems stupid. I guess there's a reason as everyone does it. But I would imagine a couple of big inboards could run just as fast, yet be quieter, more fuel efficient, easier to maintain and even cost less.

For over 100 years humans have been making small motorized ocean going fishing, lobster, and shrimp boats, most have raised bows and enclosed bows. WTF with the lowered open bow on a 65 foot offshore boat???
That’s obviously because there’s no captain on board. Even though the conditions are rough there’s no reason that boat couldn’t manage that if he knew how to ride those inbound waves.
Never understood the logic of making these boats with a downward sloping bow. Doesn’t that make it easier for the boat to get swamped? Uh, the price of trying to look cool.
