I just finished Bear and the Nightingale and the 2nd book Girl in the Tower. Really enjoying the series! I keep pushing off Assassin's Apprentice and The Winter King, maybe this will be the year I get to them. And with the second one coming out soon, maybe I'll get to Shadow of the Gods.

Good luck stopping at book 3 of the Wheel of Time... I couldn't it was next, next, next 😉 For me the books in the first half of the series do get better and better though yes there are lots of new characters to get to know!
I'm waiting for Spinning Silver from the library, really excited for that! Also wanting to read Shadow of the Gods with you all but I don't know if I can sneak in another reread so I may just lurk 🤣and yes pumped to read the Winter King with you! The way you say "bernard" is extremely French 😂
I just bought the shadow of the gods, so that was good timing! I've had a little life for years, I'm just too scared to read it 😂 I so nearly bought that Bernard Cornwall book last week. I've wanted to start reading Robin Hobb for ages too.
@@ReadByAndy I've read The Farseer trilogy which starts with the Assassin's Apprentice. I have now picked up but not read the follow on Tawny Man trilogy but have not got the Fitz and the Fool ones yet. Once I have them all I can contemplate a Robin Hobb month 😉 I've also read The Liveship Traders trilogy which I don't remember as well as Fitz.

I loved the way Andy said Bernard 😁 so much more lyrical sounding than the British pronunciation 😂

Robin Hobb, yes there is some sadness in both of her series that I've read. It's worth it though.
