- People tend to think of ATMs as a place for withdrawing cash from an account. However, it takes just a few simple steps to deposit your money utilizing ATMs as well. @@pop5678eye some parents don’t have the time. My mom works from 6am - 7pm every day, she’s a single mother after we lost our father to suicide. She’s also got another kid and her mother to look after. So yeah school should teach us things our parent are unable to do do

About 1 year and a half ago, I watched this video to learn to deposit a check my grandparents gave me for a holiday.

Hey so what would be the reasons for why the atm would decline or not accept the check?
Can it read hand written checks easily? What if you needed to edit the amount on the hand written check? Can it trust you?

So I did all that and it won’t let me spend the money I put the $20 and it’s in current and not available I got $1 in available and that’s from the last time I made a deposit

Not at an ATM. You can make a deposit with an in-person teller and a deposit slip.

'Cheque' is the original proper English spelling but in the US even banks have adapted to the Americanized version of spelling it as 'check.' (they gave up on teaching Americans proper spelling)

Except I have a check here for mobile and remote deposit and I have no idea if that applies to ATMs pretty much this inside video is useless and helpless. I know how to do an ATM we all know how to use an ATM but different banks want different things done when you endorse a check and I need to know how to endorse this check for ATM and if that's stupid check here for mobile remote deposits applies

I'm sorry you aren't finding the information you are looking for. We can only speak to the check endorsement format we use here at Salal. Like you said, different banks and credit unions might have different rules. Here is a bit more info that might be helpful for you:
At Salal at least, "remote deposit" means deposit in an ATM. We call it "remote" because it's not a deposit made with the help of one of our Personal Financial reps.
