Years ago I went to Kokkari, Samos with my brother. Fell in love with the Island. Now looking for a family holiday. How would you compare Kokkari with Pythagorion. Traveling with my wife and 3 kids this time.
It's a difficult question. You really can't compare the two places. Both are unique. With children who are around puberty, I would always choose the Pythagorion region. There's more to do there in the evenings. If you're with younger children, then Kokkari is also beautiful. However, Kokkari is on the windy side of the island, and there can be days when the sea is not easily accessible. Samos is a beautiful island, no matter where you are. However, I would always recommend renting a car. That way, you can visit the whole island and make your choice for the next visit. Next year, we have chosen Ireon. It's also a very nice village near Pythagorion. The prices in Ireon are a bit lower when it comes to dining out and hotel stays. Maybe a good tip to look up on Google or UA-cam.
