UA-cam is so awesome. I can sit here in my easy chair, in front of my big screen with the fan blowing, great headphones, a bathroom ten feet away and I'm floating down the river. Love the cam view on this Robert, really feel like I am right there on your hat!
Robert and Scott I can see why you called it mega river I wish I was with you there then again the way you filmed 🎥 it I felt I was there with you I can't get over how long it goes thanks for sharing the experience with you both 😀 Andrew south wales uk 👍 👌 🇬🇧
This video brings back memories of the days when my body allowed me to canoe the Iowa rivers. I enjoyed so much. Now my grandchildren enjoy the river trips. Scott seems to really know that river.
Pretty cool video. But maybe you should swap out jeans and your work boots for shorts and flip-flops? If you flip in a kayak that gear is going to weigh you down a ton to swim back to shore
I have done short kayak and raft floats in rivers, lakes, and harbors in California and Alaska. Great fun. Have owned kayaks and a large rubber raft at points in my younger days. Glad you are enjoying the float. Wonder though about wearing leather boots? Maybe some water shoes? Would be helpful if you had to get out of the kayak on rocks to push through.
I'm sorry, but I have tp join those who commented your work boots are an incredibly bad idea on a river. It would be like tying two concrete blocks to your feet if they were filled with water.
Was a very relaxing and nice adventure, and some beautiful scenery to boot. Thank you both Robert and Scott for taking the rest of us along on this. Appreciated. How far did you both go before you turned around to go back, and how long was the trip??
OK, a new proposal: somebody start up a new go fund me or send Robert some River Shoes, Swim Shorts or Khakis, Safety Goggles, Safety Gloves, Mask, and Asbestos Safety Suite. If you have watched both of his channels over time you know he needs it all, not to mention Carabiner and Safety Rope, but don't worry about the Safety Harness, he has one. In the meantime, getting him to use it is not likely seeing how he has more pistols than Aaron or myself and the corrective comments makes him feel that you really care. Besides this boy did grew up drinking from a Garden Hose. Need I say more.
It's definitely not untouched. Many people live up and down that river just as long as it's not government owned for parks and recreation. Or wild life refuge / association. The country music singer, Luke Bryan, is from around that area. He has a song, I can't remember the name but the flint river name is in it. Something about fishing the flint and having a catfish dinner 🤣🤣
Wearing jeans and boots to kayak is not the best idea. Ya'll need to come to TN and kayak on the crystal clear Shoal/Factory creek with plenty of mini rapids and fun/diceyness. Flint River is a cake walk. I'd fall asleep on that.

So relaxing to watch! Such a pretty river!
Great adventure Robert 👍. The sound of the river is so peaceful. It looked very relaxing too.
When I was in the Navy I spent many hours on the Flint river and the swamp at the naval air station Albanyand loved every minute of it.

What a nice adventure! I have been river rafting only twice, and neither river was flat and relaxing. This was very peaceful.😊
Those rocks come up on ya quick. Was a very enjoyable video. I have never been in a kayak, looks fun. My body would say oh heck no.
Jeans and boots are boat anchors
Beautiful river

That is so mush fun we used to do that on the Cahaba rv. In AL. 1&2 day trips miss those days. Good change of pace for ya to take a day off👍
Awesome
Thanks for the adventure. 👏

This was great, Robert, and a nail-biter in some spots!

Yah boy!
Best shoal bass river in the country
So I’ve heard! I wanna get a fly rod on some of them
@@AdventuresIntoHistory it would be another great adventure to be sure.
What a beautiful river. Does anyone live along that river and has anyone ever lived on that river? It looks so untouched and wild.
Yes - we passed a couple homes or cabins
It's definitely not untouched. Many people live up and down that river just as long as it's not government owned for parks and recreation. Or wild life refuge / association. If there are alligators in that river there's no way I'd be paddling around in it on a toothpick ... lol
I hope ya'll had a ride back to the truck.
Haha, I loved The Angry Beavers. Great cartoon. Are rivers all public down there?
Yes, any navigable waters are
If you go until you hear dueling banjo's then you know you went too far, lol.
That would be Taylor County.
Out west the rivers and streams are clear. It wasn't until we went to the South but we saw so much murky water
Don't want to sound unsympathetic, but with water moccasins and gators. I'm glad you all didn't bring the dogs.
We never mentioned bringing dogs 😅🤣
Looks fun but I would not want to see an alligator I don't think I could go in water that even had the possibility of alligators
Gators I thought they only was in Florida everglades an Mississippi an Louisiana 😱
This is the closest I will get to something like this. Motion sickness is a pain.
Of God water moccasins. No kayaking for me!
Stay indoors and never go outside.

Did Ned Beaty go with you?
RIP Ned Beaty.
Robert how long ago was this adventure? Just curious 🤔
Pretty recent a week ago
@@AdventuresIntoHistory haaa I forgot to ask what the grand total of rocks you got held up on were? Good thing you are young and strong!
@@peggyharris3301 however many times we got stuck in this vid. I didn’t count lol
@@AdventuresIntoHistory not that many then...😊
heavy hiking boots don't swim well, help drown. not wearing life vests, no captioning, am deaf dislike
No don't dislike ☹️ you should be able to turn the captions on in the top right corner of your phone
Well, I just kayaked the Flint River and my butt didn't go numb once! What fun!!!🏞️👍
