- Students at France's Sciences Po University called off protests over the Gaza war after street scuffles broke out between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli groups. Riot police arrived to ease tensions after pro-Israeli protesters came to challenge pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Students protesting the Israel-Hamas war at universities across the US dug in on April 27 and vowed to keep their demonstrations going. Police detained about 100 people as officials cleared "an unauthorised encampment" on Northeastern University's campus in Boston on April 27. Columbia President Nemat "Minouche" Shafik faces pressure to step down due to her attempt to clamp down on protests that resulted in scuffles and over 100 arrests.

When individuals invest in their education, they tend to value it more.
