anyone that actually has a friend group formed from real life and not online knew what he meant. didn’t need to apologise. people genuinely angry about how somebody personally feels about their own friendship just because you’re able to see it. ridiculous when you think about it
i completely agree with Ethan about the more sidemen channel, im 27 and watched the boys since i was a teenager but watching them play hide and seek isnt really it for me but i love watching them just have a laugh on more sidemen

Watched the podcast last night so i know what he says in this clip. I actually agree with what he is saying, moresidemen feels more like friends than the "sidemen" videos do. It definitely feels more like a business than just friends making content.
Laughable that kids tried questioning ethan's feeling about his own friends acting like they are also friends with the sidemen boys just because they watch them.
I think the real issue is he's not had a regular job where you'll like people but never see them again because you're leaving. UA-cam has been his entire work history so friends and colleagues blend together as such he doesn't actually know where then line between the two are

@@scottydog771 I feel like that's his point actually. They don't seem to have much personal contact anymore, and it's shifted to contact only about work. He even stated that when they talk, it's about work.

I understood what he is trying to say and I agree with him. People are taking this way too seriously than I expected.
I don’t like the fact that his girlfriend is like judging his friends because they had a baby. A lot of people do that, when they have a baby, they expect you to feel, know and act how they expect. It’s a strange time when a couple has their first baby, and I don’t think they know how to act. You shouldn’t attack and expect more from your friends because your stressed out or have more responsibilities. Those “acquaintances” are the reason his girl can be a stay at home mom, they can have a mansion and anything they want. Don’t loose sight of that because your going through a rough patch or have someone else in your ear. He was emotional and they should leave it at that and not try to explain “who’s wrong”.
I got his point. The doubling down when the other 6 were like "We do this away from shoots!" "We have fun on shoots!" The doubling of been colleagues down is what got me.

Definitely best sidemen videos are when they’re together and just messing around. The recent one where they ranked each other 1-7 is a good example, not taking it too serious and having a proper laugh
I think its just the fact theyre all grown up now. Ethan misses the old days but then KSI has a crazy schedule and when hes not working he wants to spend time with his GF or see his family now that hes reconciled with them. Tobi just made his studio, streams regularly, has a clothing brand, seeing his brothers and nephew, playing football or seeing girls. Vik DJs, organizing his wedding, hasnt even full furnished his house, goes to Australia. Like there is so many variables and thats where Ethan is sad. You lose the time for friendships when youre that big and have other responsibilities or priorities.

I have never in my life really watched so many of they’re main channel videos, beacuse i always feel like they are more genuine on more sidemen. I just feel like they have proper laugh and fun over there, and thats really whats most intertaining for me honestly

More Sidemen the better closer to the Old School days. Sure busier schedules but got the Cals, JME etc to jump the gaps in Among Us which I think best bit, look forward to them more! Sure 30 odd but got to live a little with your mates it isn’t all about work!
I think it’s a bit unreasonable to have that same close knit group dynamic when many of the guys are pushing 30, have various other independent ventures because of their success/fame, have their own relationships they’re trying to cultivate.
The reverse could be said for them regarding Ethan. He moved on ahead and started his family, so now it’s really become a matter of “everyone does their own thing”. Maybe they were happy for your baby, but they just have no interest in kids at the moment or they’re being sensitive about taking you away from the family so they call up the other boys.
Y’all are friends and business partners together. By generating these videos you’re continuing to build the brand and set up passive revenue streams far into the future. So short term sacrifice for financial security. When you’re all set and more kids keep popping, then you’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labors together

I can see where ethan is coming from, since watching the sidemen for 8 years (goddamn). I watch Moresidemen more often than main channel now. The standard of production they set doesn’t allow them to make videos where excitement and energy comes from the interactions between them.

totally would prefer that for the main channel. build it up every month and make it a banger, get all sorts of guests from other youtubers to potential celebrities willing to collab even some athletes too especially american ones and from other countries too to bring in larger audiences. haven’t watched any main channel vids in so long, can’t be bothered anymore

@@RedBullLordy Their platform is too big to worry about pleasing everyone. I think it's in their best interest to cut back a bit, making this much content constantly is gonna eventually boil over and make them all want to quit.

Drama is more entertainment to most people these days than the actual content the creators make - didn’t articulate himself well but wasn’t the hardest to understand what Ethan meant and why he discussed it
Stuff happens it’s happening with my friend right now we are all in our mid 20s starting our life moving away,having kids and starting “big boy jobs” that’s life but in a few years the kids will be grown the job will still be there and the friends and memories will always be around maybe not like in high school but time moves on

I've preferer moresidemen for years. I liked the normal sidemen stuff a couple years back when they did the Christmas raps and first holiday videos but seems like too much production and cuts now. More sidemen is where its at, feels more raw and like they are actually having fun!

TBH Ethan is my fav sidemen
i think ethan sees it how we also see it now with the sidemen. with all these channels with various content, trying to keep up with it and the viewers also tryna keep up with it, the content its self isnt really there anymore and feels lacking because its more business focused now. just like ethan wants to spend time with his friends out of work as friends, we as the viewers would like to see the fun content again where they hang out more and have fun like the good old days.
