The huge talent of the musicians in Band Maid could have overshadowed the vocalist, but in Saiki they have a real gem. Beautiful, elegant with a truly perfect voice for Band Maid , she has the supreme gift for a singer of stage domination. She generally arrives on stage last, ignores the audience for a drink of water, turns and has them in the palm of hand immediately. And she never lets them go and they adore her. Perfect group. perfect vocalist. perfect woman.
Saiki might not be the most demonstrative Band Maid member...Perhaps some might see her as sullen or moody...The fact is...her band mates KNOW her and love her and respect her tireless work ethic for the sake of their music. She is the right singer,in the right band,at the right time in history...Her legacy is secure.
Yea typical Japanese lead singer, typical Japanese voice, but there are plenty of typical Japanese rock bands. They seem to be good don't stand out more than any other. There is a very few that stand out but this is not one of them
I think her young age and the fact that she had a roll to play when the band first performed together. Had her play a part of the straight character of the band while the others played up their lighter side. That changed over the last few years when Saiki has become happier and more confident to giggle and be every bit as happy to be front and centre outside of the performances. Her performances have improved and her interpretation of songs has become greater. Now a true performer and personality.
