- One of the most beautiful Grateful Dead performances I've ever heard. Jerry's guitar tone is incredible.
Live at War Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, NY

This is the very best Comes a Time in my opinion
Great show!!
This is a great one yes.
No comparison really.
@@deadtoolhead22the one from Boston 76 is really good. The road trips one.
I think the one from Frankfurt in '72 was better

“Comes a time when the blind man takes your hand and says, ‘Don’t ya see?’ “
Genius!
You got an empty cup only love can fill
This is a master class on how to play a slow song
@@EndangeredSouls yes, a truly perfect rock ballad
Nothing as beautiful
This took place on my BORN DAY.
Saw 2 shows at the war memorial in 1985 I remember it very well had a fantastic time✌️✨️🇺🇸
"I feel the weeind and I taste the rain"
I love the way he pronounced wind
@@SpacestationWilly Exactly
Absolute perfection
Yep
Chills.. tears.. love to you all
Jerry taking the music where its not supposed to go ,
Keith bringing him back was amazing
That was awesome! 👍😎 I have to hear it again!
I've been loving this soundboard since my 1st batch of Maxell II-S's arrived at my house in October 1989.
The box had 2nd gen sbd's of all 3 Greek '89 shows that had just been played.
Killer FOB audience of Alligator Alley '80 w/the legendary "Shakedown Street">"Franklin's Tower".
A great board of 1976's "Day at the Green" @ Oakland Stadium where they inserted "Samson & Delilah" in-between "Help>Slip" and "Slip>Franklin's".
Frost '85z "Scarlet>Fire Tease>Eyes>GDTRFB>Women Are Smarter" sbd and OF COURSE, my favorite 1977 show to this day, War Memorial 5/9/77.
This "Comes A Time" and entire show is "JUST EXACTLY PERFECT"!!!!
In my humble opinion of course.
How does one choose a fav Grateful Dead show from a year like '77?
It's virtually impossible.
Just a matter of memory association & the acid you were on and where you were listening, lol.
I can barely imagine being born at just the right time to where the cosmos put you on tour anytime in the 1970's.
I'm grateful just to have slid in at the very end (77 shows from April '89>).
This COMES A TIME!
These lyrics!!!!
One of the best songs ever written. The show opening Help>Slipknot!>Franklin's is beyond description. My fav Peggy-O as well.
I'll take 5/9 over Cornell any day.
Donna improved so much. Her voice sounds wonderful in these 77 shows. She didn't sing this way in 72-74.
Yes she got better and Keith got worse. Although he sounds fine here.
She did a good job in 77. The whole band had all these songs worked out so well by then. Love 72-74 but Donna could be pretty screechy at times. Still 72-74 is still some of my favorite dead. Love Bobby's jazzy shit from that era
The monitor system caught up. It was never about what she had, it was about what she could hear. She came from Mussel Shoals.
RBD.
I think during their hiatus in 75 she heard lots of recordings of herself. From 76 onward she was truly great and is a joy to listen to.
In this fucking times. God bless the Grateful Dead
🙌 🌕 ⭐️
Love ❤
Dazzling solo. Gorgeous rendition 😎
Yes! I've been surfing around youtube's Comes A Time & found that Jerry's solos are epic & take a long time to develop and then miraculously crescendo (not surprisingly) and return to the song, but in a sparkling, fully leafed out plant of musicianship. 😮❤😮
Remember what it felt like?
If not, here ya go ☝☝☝
Yeah
Amazing.....
