Tomorrow i have math exam but instead of algebra here I am learning about cuticles cortex and molecules 😂
P.S it's 4am in my country
Hateyo Loop hahaha😂
Science baby, you're learning science! lol
i might be late but this is the same exact situation i am in rn sksksj
Me while I have an essay to do
Thanks for the sharing. It’s really educate me and others who just don’t really know about the colours type. Thumbs up!
“There’s a party in your cortex and all color molecules are invited.” 😂
Wow this was so helpful! I hate going into Sally’s with questions and the employees give me attitude/sass (or just wrong information in general). Loved this video, thank you!
Right? No one in Sally's seems to legit know what they're talking about. When I told my hair dresser what products they recommended she was like, "They said to use what?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just in time, I've been considering experimenting with semi/demi permanent color for a few days now!!
What do you prefer ? :)
“You cannot lift color with color!” Sold. I’m officially a new subscriber
Lol literally that's one of the most known facts in the beauty industry
I honestly wish I had you as a professor in college when I was studying, because you have such an amazing way of educating people and just sharing your information about hair!! I love seeing these videos and I just wanted to say that I appreciate all of the time and all the effort you put into compiling this information for us. It’s really helpful and useful. I’ve never colored my hair before or done anything drastic to it but I’ve been thinking about it for the last few weeks and I’ve been watching a lot of your videos to learn about hair and prep myself for it! Thanks so much Brittney! ❤️
I just graduated high school and I'm applying for cosmetology school and watching your videos really helps. I don't know how much it'll help me when I attend but I feel like I won't be thrown for a loop once I start college. You explain it all so well and I love love love your drawings they make more sense at least to me
Rylee Osborne It will help a lot. I wish when I went to beauty school Britney would explain these things to me, but no, I found her only this year. So sad.
Wish you luck! 😊
Thank you
@Rylee Osborne I'm in cosmo school right now! Senior student. Just be careful it seems no matter what there is always going to be a "click" so like 3 girls who are very catty. Just letting you know now. If you can apply for night time classes it's more chill day time is where catty people are. Yes, it varies state to state but Oregon and Cali and WA will most likely have very catty people. Good luck tho!
I live in a southern state NC and a rural part of it so hopefully it's not bad but I've always stayed away and the "clicks" have always left me alone for other reasons so that is my only concern for school
As long as you're happy and avoid them then go for it!
I love that you want us to fully understand what your telling us about coloring hair so much that you actually sat and took the time to draw out visual aids! They were so helpful too! That's what I love about your channel! Your passion for hair truly shows and let me tell you; it's infectious! Haha! Every time I watch a vid of yours I get all jazzed up, and this time, I really really really want to dye my hair or maybe just give it some more dimension with some highlights! Thank you so much for this vid! It really helped connect some dots for me, and I'm sure I'm not alone! What I'd love to see a video on is developer... Like what's with the different numbers and how long do you keep them on for and everything developer! Then I think I will be a full on pro, or at least not completely useless, when it comes to hair color! Haha! Thanks hunny!
Thanks for sharing. You should do a video on what happens/causes your strands to get heat damage. Also how to prevent and treat heat damage.
Even though you made this two years ago, this is still most detailed video I have seen so far and this is helping get prepared for my written cosmetology exam! Thank you so much for this!
I’m soooo thankful I found your page. You are literally my teacher for things I question at school. Watching you right now while I’m class 😊.
I found this video today while sitting in the salon knowing I have a client that is seeking a color job. I’m fresh out school, 3 weeks working a salon and still feel lost on color. I’ve been feeling some kinda way until you said you didn’t know what you were doing either after you 1600 hours and it takes time and hands on experience to get. Thank you 🙏🏾
Love how informative you are, visuals really help too!
Thank you so much for these amazing videos Brittney, it's very relaxing to listen to you explain things. Helps me to calm down when I'm anxious!
I have been waiting so long for you, thank you! ❤️ I’m always experimenting with my hair longing to further understand the science behind it in a way I comprehended. I’ve being dying my own hair for almost two decades now and it’s been a great journey thus far. As a visual learner, I appreciate your diagrams! 👏🏽
Absolutely great video! I've been waiting for someone to scientifically explain the process of each level of hair dying, I'm a biology major so this was very fascinating to watch. Thank you!
I cannot handle the level of beauty. I was getting ready to dye my hair, found this video, and now I cannot stop staring. You are UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS! And that makeup compliments your eyes and skintone SO WELL. GAH. I'm drooling over here, haha!!!
Loved this video. Your explanation is so clear! I also like how you gave us visuals. Keep up the awesome work.
I adore your hair!!! And the information is amazing! Wonderful explanation of the medulla and cortex! Saved to watch later, must learn all I can, thanks!
I feel like this video and the color theory video has taught me more today then my current cosmetology school has taught me in the past year! You’re a lifesaver! ❤️
you really answered all the questions I had. Thanks for taking the time and giving us all these informations.
Yes!!! Quality videos... thank you this is soooo appreciated 😍❤️
Jeez I LOVE this channel!!!! I love the topics and how they are explained, the humor, everything!
I’m so grateful to have found you!! You are a great educator! I have been looking for a video that explains the basic and you make it so easy to understand... Thank you so much
Sandy 😊
You’re an awesome educator! Very informative, and it’s great to see you looking so happy again!
Excellent tutorial for those of us not schooled in hair coloring. Learned a great deal
Love this, learned some new ish! Thanks for the edumacation! lol
I love how you illustrated what you have been explaining. I have been watching videos in the hopes I could understand (as I am not professional, and the salon have not achieved the color I wanted) while I research to tone my hair with its warm tones. YOUR video I have found VERY educational indeed. Thank you! ❣
Very helpful video!! Thank you for creating these. Probably the best ones on you tube. You are brilliant!!
I was looking forward to this. Thank you! Your simple teachings help me understand things in a new way.
This is the video I’ve been looking for. Thanks for covering the basics
I love your videos girl! ❤️ I’m starting cosmetology school in April and I get so excited and happy when i watch your videos, they’re fun and educational ☺️❤️ and i love the Hair culture page! 😍
Demipermanent covers my grey, but only because my hair is really fine and porous. Your explanation is really good and thorough. I have never had it explained to me like this and I wish I would have. Of course, in cosmetology school you have about a million things to absorb and I've always questioned whether I had a thorough understanding of the different color types. I have felt a little overwhelmed by all the types of hair cuts and color techniques so I haven't even worked in the industry yet. Not 100% sure about it all but maybe I will feel better as I watch more videos like this. I know you do a lot of learning on the job, but I'm the type that really has to have a pretty good handle on things before I can stand behind the chair.
This was explained so much better than my cosmetology teacher taught me! Thank you!!
Just discovered you and I’m binging ! Haha I’ve been doing hair for about 2 years now and it’s after a year in the salon that I’m starting to feel real confident with toners and knowing what to use so these videos definitely are useful. (I watched your levels one first) but yea I totally agree with you , sharing is caring . I’m a firm believer in educating my clients as much as possible being when I was a child I was taught so little how to tame and love my curly hair .
Wow this was awesome. You are very good at simplifying a lot of information. Thank you for this!!!!
Yessss, thank you so much for this video, it's very informative and you are a great teacher - easy to understand and entertaining at the same time 👏💛
This was the perfect video to explain the different types of color. this was extremely helpful.
My mom did hair for 30 years and owned her own business while I was growing up. She has been the main person who does my hair and I love watching your videos because when I'm in the chair she always gets really happy and surprised that I'm becoming more knowledgeable. Backstory: I had a bad accident when I was 11 and after that I have had a permanent pain in my dominant wrist so I wasn't able to go to cosmetology school like I wanted to. Your videos are always great to watch and you make everything easy to learn. Love you from Chico, CA
I LOVE THESE I’m starting beauty school soon! Pls keep making super educational videos like this I like themmm
this was very informative! I'm currently enrolled in cosmetology school and actually just got out of the coloring module not too long ago. I really appreciate this video!
This is so useful, thanks🙏🏻
I’m a junior in high school and in my first year of cosmetology and your videos help me out so much! Thank you for going in depth ❤️
Looooove your videos!!! Do you or can you make a video breaking down the use of different volumes and what each one would do etc ♥️
Really loved this!
Wow girl thanks for this explanation it really helped clear up a lot questions I had about hair dye. You rock!
oh my gosh i love your videos, i struggle understanding hair coloring and your videos help me so much!❤️❤️
I am glad that you are feeling better, and glad to see you back. I love how you take the time to break down everything.
Most helpful UA-cam video I’ve ever watched!!! Thank you!!!
I love learning about hair and you do it so well!
You literally have the cutest outfits. Good taste. You always make me laugh too.
Outstanding presentation. Right to the point. Impeccable explanation. Thank you.
i also love how you use pictures, really helps the visual learners !!
This was very informative! Loved it!
The pictures helped!!! A lot of people just talk about terminology without *showing* what it means. Thanks!
I'm so happy I found this video!! I just graduated from cos, and I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to color .So thank you ❤️
Thanks for the video Britt! You're a great teacher
Great info!!! Thank you! You do a awesome job explaining the differences:)
Brittany, thanks for the information on types of hair color. I was afraid when you first said permanent color in the cortex changes the molecules in the hair permanently. BUT, since I have gray hair, I understand why my stylist uses permanent color. The more information I know, the more I understand what my stylist is doing to my hair without feeling nervous.
THANK YOUUUU FOR MAKING THESE EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS ON HAIR PLS MAKE MOREEEEE I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU
You are truly amazing, I’ve learned so much from you. You have no idea how much I respect your thoughts and opinions. I don’t know you personally but I swear it feels like I do at the same time. You a true, dope person. Thank you for being so real and honest, keep up the awesome videos boo ❤️
I so love you! You take time out to teach us who need to know how to take care of out hair professionally. Thank you so much!!!
I feel like I just took a CE class on hair. That was excellent information explained in a way that's very easy to understand, and your drawings were spot on, very helpful. Thank you so much for this video, I've saved it in my hair playlist.
This was super helpful! Thanks! I had no idea about the difference of these.
Omg thank you! You helped me understand this 1OO% better!! Ugh ima taking notes on this
great work :) thank you so much Brittney !
years later and LOVING THIS youre an amazing teacher
This is such a good video. X
Wild, thank you. Awesome illustration - very informative!
I dont even know, this was on my youtube recommendations and Im so damn glad. Im not looking to dye my hair, but this was hella informative and very interesting. Youre very knowledgable on your field, you should be very proud of yourself
It was clear, thank you. It's helpful for anyone who wants to color their hair. Not everyone can afford to go to the salon. And the better stylists understand, the more we all win
Love you so much for making this video!
Gurrrl, I love the head bobing move lol. So glad to see you are doing better. Have a great week:) oh, p.s. great job on the video.
Hey Brittney. Just wanted to let you know how much you’ve inspired me. You are intelligent and beautiful, and just an all around amazing person. Keep doing what you do and make the world just as beautiful as you are.
This video is very helpful! Thank you so much! Love all your videos!
16:15 lol So much shade, the sun eclipsed! 🤣
This video was really informative, and I loved your visual aids. Thanks Brittney!
I seriously like ur drawings in ur videos it makes everything much more easy to understand and more interesting :))) xx
Yes, u explained well! Thanks so much for all the instructional videos! Love them. I’ve always wanted to understand the science behind it since I color my own hair. I used to have permanent black hair! It took forever taking it off. Had I known it was that hard I wouldn’t have done it.
Love your videos! So much helpful information :)
You are so good at explaining and it's easy to learn from you and not get bored
this vid was so needed thank u
Lord!!! I have been looking for all this my whole life!!!! Could have avoid soooo many hair disasters.
You’re always so informational! Thanks for sharing 💖 also, I don’t know if it’s the lighting you’re using, but the color of your hair right now is soooo beautiful with your eyes and skin tone 🤩 #goals
Love how descriptive you are about differences .
Am studying hair dressing here in London and I loved your video and the way you explained the types of colour and hair structure. Awesome
Bomb explanation, thank you!!
Thanks for breaking this up for us...helps to try and make some sense of it all.
Currently studying for my cosmo finals. My school is trash and Im a visual type of learner. Thank you for making these videos. It helps so much!!!
Wow. You are amazing Brittaney . Normally is super hard for me to understand all of this. But you explain it all super clear 🙏🙏😁😘thanks.
If you’re not a teacher already, you should be one! I have ADD so I have a really hard time focusing and following along, but you explained it so well I was able to follow along and understand everything completely! If you were my school teacher I would be an honor roll student.
You’re awesome and a great mentor!
Very informative. Could you do a video about relaxed hair, colouring relaxed hair, cover greys whilst relaxed etc. Thanks x
Very informative, thank you for putting this together.
Brittney, I love your videos and I love your attitude and confidence! My hair stylist went on a parental leave..and now I am in a hair mess!!! How would you suggest communicating with your hairstylist some of the things that you don't like that they are doing, or you see that it is completely wrong?! I can't even count the things that were done wrong with my hair with the new hair stylist that I went to, but I was feeling uncomfortable to speak up. Just paid the money, left completely unhappy and now looking for another hairstylist to fix my hair!!!
I trained when I was 16 and am now 43😱. I ❤️ your videos as it's a great refresh thankyou 👏😘
Thanks for your great lessons I'm learning so much from you!
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just trying my hardest to make sense of all the info you gave from the prev video and this one... So toner is what decides whether the hair is warm, neutral, or cool, hence why it's called 'tone', right? So does that mean toner is the underlying pigment that you apply to lifted/lightened hair, before applying the type of hair color, which is the level a person would like their hair (light or darkness)?? What exactly is a developer? I get it's mix in with the lightener, but is it also used for other things or just that? Also (last question), how do you decides how many parts of a solution to mix in with another to create a lighter, and desired hair color?
Can you make a video about the needs of different types of hair like Type 1-Type 4. What we should look for in shampoos/conditioners and what products or practices we should avoid! Love you 💖💖💖
Hi Brittney ... I think you vids are fabulous ❤️❤️ ...what colour or tone do you have on your hair at the mo it’s looks gorgeous x x
Amazing video Brittney!
